I have been apart of Kilowatt's club maintenance program for some time now and it paid off! This past Friday evening during the crazy heatwave my air conditioner stopped working. During this time of immense heat in Los Angeles we hope that if we need service on our cooling system, there is someone who will come to the rescue if you need service. Arrived home from work to discover the A/C not working. I can deal with the heat, but my little Pug can't. Kilowatt was the first one I called. It was about 7 PM so I got their answering service. I left a message and, literally in less than 5 minutes, Dean called me right back. He showed up at my place at 9:30 PM and got my A/C back up and running again. They say they respond within 10 minutes (after you fill out a bunch of information, where you live, what is your problem. You get an automated message within 10 minutes. Then you are directed to call them. You talk to a real person, who repeats all the same questions, including exact street address. She asks if it is an emergency and you say yes and says someone will call you right away. So you wait up waiting for the call, which doesn't come. Just had a terrible interaction with the tech who called me back, when I was trying to get A/C repair quote. On the yelp page it says free estimates, so that's what I expected to be able to get. They only do that for new systems, he said. Glad I caught it early on, before I made any appointments. They only serve Sherman Oaks and no where else, and are unable to provide any recommendations of any other trustworthy AC companies. Kilowatt installed a new heating/AC in my home last year. Today i called for a annual service contract. WAY TO EXPENSIVE!! I told them forget it I will use someone else. The nasty woman at Kilowatt said if I use another company they will invalidate my warranty. I am using another company for future service and if they invalidate my warranty i will sue them. They are nasty people. Take your business to someone that appreciates it.

I had been a long standing customer of Kilowatt Heating & Air. In fact, I had a job scheduled for November 30, 2022 and we have a monthly service contract. We had a simple question for an additional service. The manner in which my wife and I were spoken to on the phone by Dean was beyond disgusting. Apparently Dean is the owner.
