I only have one word to describe this hotel ..... $hit-hole We rented this hotel based on time and distance to from our destination. we were looking for a place to sleep for a few hours before continuing our journey. We have stayed at other LaQuinta's that were clean. The LaQuinta in Fairfield, NJ is disgusting! we supposedly rented a non-smoking room that smelled like someone just smoked a pack of cigarettes' in the room right before we got there. My room smells really bad, the bathroom is super disgusting, and my card key never worked, a worker had to open for me with his key and told me to get a new key when I leave the room. Very unprofessional and disgusting, I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy.

Room was so dirty with hairs on the phone and toilet and wall of the shower. There were dogs barking and came across a person in the hall that had a Sherman Shepard and she had to hold him close as he was barking and trying to get to us. Idk if to play or attack. Not good

This was the Howard Johnson’s in the 80s and 90s and it looks like the rooms have stayed the same. The plumbing is unacceptable and the housekeeping is lacking. Expedia rooms are cheap and you get what you pay for. It’s run down and needs a lot of improvements!! Not up to the standards of Windham that’s for sure.

There was no room service every thing is dirty. This place is absolutely trash.

I would never stay again or recommend this property. It was filthy, room was disgusting, door lock did not work properly, police showed up due to an incident with some of the guests !! I was afraid in my room. Overall experience is horrible.

This property target customer by lower cost but its not worth. Usually I am not review person but I want to let family people(travel with wife and kids) its not safe for you. The Lobby smell, dirty and damage.

We requested a room near lobby. Put in back of the building. Pool was closed - apparently permanently, still being advertised as having an indoor pool.
