Took forever for food to arrive. Ribeye was not hot when received—disappointing. Service was great
Disappointing. Service was lacking. As a small example, it took 30 minutes to get a soda for one of the kids at our table. Actually sent back the 2nd bottle of wine we ordered, a first for me. Soup was way too salty. All the dinners were far from what was expected...either too small or not as described. We were seated right across from the kitchen. Way too noisy, like over the top noisy. Management suck we had special order egg plant parm and the restaurant didn’t pay attention until day of and so we didn’t get it and they didn’t even offer to try to make it right my server was tony he was outstanding as usual
For the last 5 years I have made two reservations in December. This has been in the past a consistent experience of excellent food and highly enjoyable service. This Christmas eve experience was terribly disappointing. We sat for a marked period of time before being initially acknowledged and our service was slow throughout the meal while tables around us turned over. Amazingly disappointed.
The food was great as well as service. However the wait for the food to arrive after salads were done was a bit long. The noise level was very loud, not something we are accustomed too. Because of these too factors we probably will not come back to La Strada.
La Strada has been my favorite Reno restaurant for decades (since Rhonda's father cooked the spaghetti). Service was not up to par. The wrong credit card was returned to me for dinners I did not purchase. Drink glasses were left empty. (Iced tea and water—which tasted awful.) Price was huge for what we got...three plates of lettuce, a small steak, a salmon dinner and stuffed mushroom entree. One whiskey and one wine. Please tell me that was an off Friday night and that kind of action is rare. cj
Very disappointed this time. No calamari as the fryer was broken. We sent the prawns back as they were totally without flavor. The shrimp substitute wasn’t good either. The veal dish was just so so and the linguine and clams were entirely too salty. Our waitress was lovely but we were disappointed overall especially since we were celebrating our anniversary. Sorry La Strada, you didn’t live up to our expectations.

Sevice sucked, food was wrong waiter never got the manager
Octopus appetizer was skimpy at best. Pomegranate martini had to be sent back...juice tasted old, not fresh. Rigatoni was more than al dente....inedible. Cannoli was over baked and not filled properly. Always relied on La Strada for great meals...won't be back.
