Mother’s Day celebration
Tony was a good server. He was quick and suggested a few tastings to help us pick the wine we wanted. The antipasto platter was ok, the bread basket ok too. The olive bread was my favorite. My fiancé and I both ordered the risotto. I got the scallops and he got the veal osso bucco. The 'risotto' was terrible. Completely dried out and looked like a sad rice pilaf. It was the 1st time I've been to your establishment it was an awesome experience I will be returning .
The food was excellent. However, the service was horrible. My girlfriend and I had to wait 30 minutes beyond our reservation to be seated at our table. When we were seated at our table, the waiter was very unattentive to our needs. As a result, we received very poor customer service from the waiter. Therefore, I reluctantly do not recommend this restaurant not based on the food but rather the service.
JAN 31/2018 WE CELEBRATED OUR WEDDING ANNIVERSRY AT LA STRADA. WE MADE RESERVATIONS THRU OPEN TABLE AND MENTIONED ON THE RESERVATION THAT IT WAS OUR ANNIVERSARY. 3 MEALS WERE SATISFACTORY $38 EACH. 4TH DINNER WAS SCALLOPS WITH PELENTA. Went for a birthday. The appetizers were good but the main dishes were all under seasoned and super bland. It was very pricy which would have been okay if the food was great but I've had better food for a lot less elsewhere. Very disappointed.
The food got both my Husband and I sick! The waiter was cheesy, and did not know how pair wine with food properly. We will not go back.
Absolute worst experience we’ve had in a very long time. We are both Reno locals and though used to love La Strada wouldn’t go back or recommend it. We had a reservation for 2 for 6:30 in 12/29/17 for my fiancé’s 40th birthday. We showed up on time and waited over 10 minutes for anyone to help us. We told the two hostesses that we had a reservation and were told it would be 5-10 more minutes. We decided to wait at the bar.
