Evano continues to be one of my favorite chefs.
As resort restaurants go La Strada is top notch. Attentive yet not overbearing service, good classic menu preparations in a cozy atmosphere that would be the envy of many a restaurant anywhere. Definitely a top notch Reno restaurant that I would recommend to anyone.
Chicken parmigiana came out completely burnt, as in black burnt edges and was extremely dry. We ended up sending it back. The manager visited the table nd t to us asking how everything was - then skipped us. Figures. Won't go back and do not recommend!
Beautiful restaurant, attentive staff but the food was terrible. Should have sent back my fettuccine Alfredo. It was gummy and dry like it sat out with big flat hunks of chicken thrown on top of it. Salad was good flavor but maybe 4 croutons on a large Caesar. My husbands clam chowder was mostly all broth hard to find a clam or a potato and his lamb he said was just ok. Vegetables had a weird taste. Very disappointing for our 48th anniversary dinner . We had eaten there years earlier and loved it so much! Won’t be back!

Our reservation was for 6:15pm. We checked in at host desk early. The hosts were 2 girls and a guy. We were finally seated at 6:40. We were told our table was being made up. When we were seated there was no less than a dozen empty tables made up with no one around. We were very patient waiting to be seated but the hosts were arrogant and rude. The person at the front counter had us wait in the bar our reservation was for 7:00 p.m. I came back at it 7:15 and she is completely forgotten about us. My wife ordered lasagna it was horrible I ordered the steak ribeye it originally came out well done even though my order was for medium well they were able to change that back out however the steak was very thin very fatty. Went here on a friday night and was greeted promptly and had great service but the food let us down. The absolute worst spaghetti and meatballs i have ever had. Overcooked pasta and the meatballs were crispy and overcooked with very little sauce. The sauce did not taste good either. We also had the chicken parm which was just ok. I hope it was just a bad night
