I read online that Lamps Plus has Price Matching. I found a Lamp online listed at several sites for $109. Lamps Plus was listed at $159. I called the LP store I had purchased Bar Stools from recently, & asked if they Price matched. The reply was "Yes". I gave the Lamp information, she checked & came back & said they could not give me that amount of the price match, but offered me a discount. Just left this store, and if I could give this particular store a -5 I would! This is the 3rd time in three months that I have gone to this store and like another reviewer wrote there was a VERY RUDE woman behind the counter who would not help. I asked someone with a lamps plus shirt for help and she appologized saying that she didn't handle sales but would go and get someone. I hate to write negative reviews but this one is well deserved. I went to the Lamps Plus location in Torrance, CA right when they opened you would think that the customer service representative would have been helpful but she was not. I had brought in a picture of an outdoor wall mounted lamp that needed to be replace to support the needs of a 14 unit townhome complex. Just experienced the worst customer service of my life! Tien and Newman... are so rude and have 0 customer service skills! They are sarcastic and hot tempered can't believe such a reputable company like Lamps Plus can't afford new associate to represent them Such a shame that they sell beautiful items yet due to the poor customer service they have I will no longer be buying from them!
DON'T Buy here, they're rude. Always mad when you ask questions. They want you to buy without asking. Spend 25 minutes waiting for help. The guy was rude to me.
I went to Lamps Plus in January, I saw a chair in the window that I liked while I was driving by. It was priced at 549.00. A little too high for me. I noticed a week ago (2mos later) the store was having a sale, 50% off. They hiked the price of the chair to 999. and put the price at 549.00. Unbelievable. I was very disappointed. I will never return to this store again.
I was in the store back in Sep and purchased two chairs. The sales lady Chris was really helpful and nice. Originally I was going to come back a week later to pick up the chairs but Chris called and said they can deliver the chairs to me to save me the time and trouble of picking it up myself. I purchased a ceiling fixture on Sat IN STORE with a credit card, for delivery direct to my home since they didn't have it in stock. Then around five hours later (!) this bonehead company emails me saying they need my billing address to verify the credit card transaction. Really? They didn't ask for it as such during the transaction, though they certainly could have, AND it was on my driver's license which they DID look at. I wish I could write a better review. I've used Lamps Plus successfully over the last 4 or 5 years,but they completely dropped the ball this time. I visited on a Saturday to look at outdoor lights and also recessed lights for my kitchen remodel. I found 2 of the 3 items I needed for the outdoor lights and an order was placed for the 3rd item (matching one of the other items I purchased).
