Lamps plus is horrible. I ordered a chandelier and it never arrived and they told me I still have to pay for it. They instructed me to file a dispute with my card company since they still to this day have an open clam with FedEx for my November order. Meanwhile, they fought my dispute and said my item was delivered, when it was not. I have a ring camera in front of my house and there is zero delivery. Lamps plus has a lot of great inventory, however their customer service is very lacking. I purchased a beautiful flush mount fixture back in late February for a new apartment I would be moving into in March, but the pandemic hit and I wasn't able to move in until July. When the lamp was finally installed two of the former branches stopped working within a few minutes of installation. I went to purchase a lamp shade. Walked in 6 workers standing and talking at front desk. Asked where the lamp shades were they were able to stop talking long enough to say to the right in the back. Keep going you will find them. Found my own shade paid went to my car to get another shade to check for size. Again no one said can I help you. I ordered some bar stool and the lady that answered the phone wrote down all my info like the card number everything...I also asked if it could be assembled there and she said yes & that they will assemble it. After 3 weeks still nothing...no call.... no nothing so I called and the SAME girl says " oh...they need the 3 digit code from the card" I was like what do you mean?!?! Racist staff! My mother went to look for lighting fixtures for our newly built bathroom. She went into the store with the expectancy of being treated like all the other customers. As soon as she went in, the manager passed by her and gave her dirty glances. Then this white couple comes in, and as soon as they did, the manager goes straight to them and says, "Hi, welcome, how can I help you?" Yet to my mom for being Hispanic was ignored. I purchased directy from the store and worked with a sale rep a $430 ceiling fan with addtional $30 wall control ( which the store sales rep chose as it was compatible with the fan) and installation for $100= $560. The Lamps Plus installer installed ceiing fan incorrectly and caused a crack in the ceiling and charged $25 additional for installing wall control even though I had already paid $100 for the installation. We purchased two chairs over the weekend at this location. We were EXTREMELY clear with the sales woman Delaram Kalantari that the chairs should NOT be shipped till the week of May 20th as our house is currently vacant and we won't be moved in till that week. She made a special note in the order not to deliver the chairs until that time. Then, I get an email yesterday saying my chairs have shipped and will be delivered either today or tomorrow. Just left the Torrance Store 20 minutes ago,the most rude sales experience I've had in years. I asked a question about an item an the young woman sales associate was very rude and dismissive. I told her thank you and left the store. I will never shop here again.
Found an LED desk lamp at their store on sale for $44.98 but when I went to pay for it the cashier told me the price is 129.99. She told me the sale ended but no one changed the price yet. That is not my problem it is theirs. They must honor the price listed otherwise it is clearly a bait and switch tactic! An unfair sales practice not to live up to their mistake. The better business bureau should hear of this.
