We recently went to Lamps plus to find a few ceiling fans for our house. Our salesman John Vilchez was very friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and patient. He explained to us the options for different fans and helped us find the best ones for our house. They were able to order the all the fans and ship them to us, I didn't think they'd fit in my car! The fans arrived within the week! They also do offer installation but we thought it was a little expensive so we found a contractor to do the install for us.

The customer service at this store is awesome. An hour a go I stopped by to replace a screw on knob that holds a lamp shade in place. I walked in and within seconds was approached by a salesman (Tiem). I explained the reason for my visit and he showed me where the decorative shade knobs were. He asked if I wanted decorative or plain and when I replied "plain", he said "Oh, I can give you one for free". YES HE SAID FREE! I needed new shades so I thought Lamps Plus. They had an ok selection but prices are a little high. I had trouble getting a sales rep to help me but once I did he did a very good job.

I was looking for bathroom fixtures with a goldish tone - really hard to find these days of chrome only. A sales representative, Newman Do, was really outstanding from the beginning to the end of the process which took over a week of working to get just what I needed. He was always very pleasant and wanted to help in any way possible. He went above and beyond for me. When he was not there on one of my visits, I was kindly helped by the manager, Erik.

I have a variety of odd light bulbs in my house that require me to go to a specialty shop like Lamps Plus to get them replaced when they burn out. Lamps Plus always has what I need, they provide personal service, and are always really nice, helpful people. It does seem, though, that buying light fixtures for one's house is a stressful experience, because there's always a cranky customer in there whose life it seems depends on finding the perfect light fixture.

My husband and I purchased a chandelier for one of the rooms in our house from this place. They have such a huge selection for a tiny place, so it took us a while to go around and check everything out. We were approached by several sales people, who were really helpful. I liked the fact that they didn't pressure us into buying anything. They let us just peruse at our own pace, but made sure that we were doing ok at the same time. On a trip to California to see my favorite band, we noticed the Lamps Plus as we rolled into Torrance. The next day before leaving town, we made a special trip just to check it out. I have looked at Lamps Plus online extensively and so this was a good opportunity to see some of the things I had seen online, in person. First I called the store and asked a few questions, and the person who answered had an attitude and hung up in my face. So I went on line and looked for different lighting and started a chat conversation, and they just kept responding with "Return items responses" This kind of customer service is terrible. The 800 number on their website, it doesn't connect the call. This is all signs to take my money elsewhere.
