My husband and I purchased a chandelier for one of the rooms in our house from this place. They have such a huge selection for a tiny place, so it took us a while to go around and check everything out. We were approached by several sales people, who were really helpful. I liked the fact that they didn't pressure us into buying anything. They let us just peruse at our own pace, but made sure that we were doing ok at the same time. On a trip to California to see my favorite band, we noticed the Lamps Plus as we rolled into Torrance. The next day before leaving town, we made a special trip just to check it out. I have looked at Lamps Plus online extensively and so this was a good opportunity to see some of the things I had seen online, in person. I've been shopping at Lamps Plus for many years now and always have had a positive experience up until recently. I went there with intentions to buy a couple items, not one person came up to me nor could I find anybody on the floor to help, so I went to the front desk where there was one woman available. I showed her a picture of what I was looking for and asked if they had this wall sconce in stock. She replied no, and seemed uninterested to help me further so I chose to spend my money elsewhere. First I called the store and asked a few questions, and the person who answered had an attitude and hung up in my face. So I went on line and looked for different lighting and started a chat conversation, and they just kept responding with "Return items responses" This kind of customer service is terrible. The 800 number on their website, it doesn't connect the call. This is all signs to take my money elsewhere.

I had ro drive all of the way to Torrance, as this is the closest store to my area. I have purchased all of my homes lighting needs at Lamps Plus stores. Today, I needed to use the restroom while I was shopping for a floor lamp, and was REFUSED access! Is that even legal? So I will go to McNally's instead.

This lamp plus is probably ran by the most UNPROFESSIONAL staff I have ever encountered! Starting off with the manager BAMBI, extremely rude when I called to ask for an update on an order that was supposed to be received three weeks ago! 2 PARTS, only 1 came in after waiting 3 weeks when they said it'd take 3-5 business days, I've called multiple times and all they can say is " we will check on this order and call you back" I have yet to receive a call back after three phone calls. I just left this store. For the last two years I wanted to see the inside. What a disappointment. Everything and I mean everything is over priced. Clearance items are over priced. Go to Home Depot, Ikea or Amazon instead. And their customer service is horrible. I came in, the first sales girl who had a long ponytail, ignored me. Didn't say hello. Place is great with a large variety. I visited on 2/24 at approximately 5:30 pm. Sales associate 007796 was very helpful and courteous. She was a black woman and also a black young man was friendly and very helpful. I had a problem with another woman behind the register who appeared to be sick.
