Everything went fine, except the roofing crew. I assume, since I know nothing about roofs, that it was roofed properly. When it comes to clean-up, they were the worst EVER! I am still finding nails they didn't pick up, I picked up 2 more today!! I have pictures of over 51 nails, old & new shingle pieces, felt, etc. They were rude enough they even left their Mexican bottle caps(5) from lunch, with the sharp edges facing UP, a disaster for lawnmower or tires, had I not picked them up!! Hired Lon Smith to replace the roof on my 92-year-old mother-in-law's house in 2016 for over $11,000. Although the quality of the roof was okay, the price was not. When I asked the salesman, John Pembleton, if he could help with the deductible of $6000, he said he couldn't, because he would be giving her a different price than the insurance company (AAA), which would be unethical! Ultimately fine. However, the first roof was so poorly done that they had to send out a new crew to strip off the new roof and put a brand new one on at no cost to us. They contract out the roofs. The first contractors had no idea what they were doing.

I would not recommend them to my worst enemy. It was not a very good experience at all. Nothing good I can say about them. I was quoted one thing, then it turned out to be different. I was told by the insurance examiner that the shingles were inferior. They went to a sub standard roofing company and charged me big bucks for that. They tore up my fascia board. There were things in the contract they didn't get done. They had to come back and fix pipes. It was a horrendous experience.
They were quick to bid the project and I signed a contract agreeing to the work and was expecting a roof relatively soon. Several weeks had past and I hadn't heard a word so I called my salesman and only voicemail and never a return call. Finally called the office to figure out what was going on to only find out the salesman had quit and never turned In my paperwork. Worse than I could ever imagine
My roof was severely damaged by the baseball size hail we recived in Wylie, TX. I contacted Lon Smith roofing who had previously reroofed a house for me in Garland. The reroof was to consist of replacing both the decking and shingles over the entire roof. The crew was supposed to being work on a Friday. I received a call on the prior Thursday informing me that the crew could not make it on Friday as they were held up with problems on the current roof job. All went well they installed everything mention in the bid. The work was done once the rains stooped and allowed them the chance to get on top of the house. I was happy with the work it no longer rain in my garage. The guys that preformed the work worked so hard that during one of the days it got so hot that one guy would not stop but worked during extreme heat conditions until he was forced to take a break.They clean up all materials left everything neat and clean. <br />

We were always informed of any problems and were told a few things that we could do to update our roof. They cleaned all the trash up when they left and were courteous.
