Sadly....the worst location in the LA area. The amount of toxic gossiping, and client shaming that goes on is astonishing. I went three times before the location in Beverly Grove on 3rd opened, and I will sit in 2 hour traffic to go to that location before I get a free service at this location. So, I gotta say, I've been digging their service for its convenience, but man, the carelessness is wearing thin. They've got this new "be sociable" thing going on, but it's like they're so busy chatting you up that they forget to actually take care of your hair. I asked them to match my bottom to my roots and blend my hair in, and they bleached my GROWN OUT HAIR and made it red. I am so upset and livid. I spent all afternoon at another location trying to get it fixed and now my hair is fried and ruined. I have to bleach it back to blonde on my own and let it grow out for months again. I'm so so sad

I'm very unhappy with the service here. My appointment took an hour longer than was estimated and my hair did not turn out how I wanted. This was my first experience at Madison Reed and I had a referral code that they would not let me use because the girl didn't know how to add that to my order. My appt was also more expensive than the original appt I booked online. My hair is far too dark for my liking and the skin around my hairline is covered in dye. I am absolutely livid about the outcome of my hair. I requested a brown color with auburn notes and despite reviewing SEVERAL photos of exactly what I wanted, I was given harsh and extremely dark jet black hair. On top of that the add on I ordered for shine gloss and deep conditioner, were not applied. His coworker confirmed it. Went in for a full highlight and tone. Left and when I got home and looked in the mirror there were lines down my head and very clear coloring never got close to my roots. (1st photo) I tried to call and no one answered for hours and was told they would call back and never did. So I showed up later that day and had them fix it and left and it was still not fixed. The Brentwood Madison Reed location is CHAOTIC. They are on their third manager in the year+ since they opened and since I started going there. They do not have a reception desk so the person doing your hair greets people. If someone comes in to buy product there is no one to help them. The layout of the space adds to the chaos, and doesn't contribute to this business model. I keep going back because it's convenient. Disappointed in the service, I was early and stylist was late. I wanted a light blonde, which they do not do. I should have checked before.

Last time I was there they took someone right before me who was not scheduled or she was late thus making me end my appointment late. This time after my color the colorist made me move to a seat by the window while I waited for my color to set in. She said that was because they were really busy but my seat stayed empty. I didn't see anyone sit in the seat she made me move from. I was polite to them so not sure what that was about... but it felt odd and rude.
