Thought I would give this a try as a possible new neighborhood option. Booked for roots, highlights, blow dry which the app said would be three hours and 15 minutes which is about how long it usually takes. I discussed with the stylist just wanting the color I already have, she agreed. She put the color on my roots, then started doing my highlights AT THE SAME TIME?! I asked what was she doing? Unfortunately im forced to give one star through Yelp. I Wish there were negative stars. Don't expect any customer service. I told the colorist i have a photo shoot on Friday (it's Wednesday) and she left streaks of hair dye on my cheek and chin--she said my hair got in the way. I was early to my appt but it was pure CHAOS. After she aggressively washed my hair, she said they were closing in 5min (so hint hint, blow dry your hair quickly) and it's FREEZING outside. Updating my review back to 2 stars since they did finally contact me and gave me credit for half of my last service. I'll give it one more shot.

Don't go there for highlights. Only root touch up. Disaster. Brown hair turned white with streak in the middle. Spent 3.5 hrs trying to correct it with manager.

I am willing to try anything twice. My first experience was lackluster and had brown haircolor stains on my hairline into my face. This second time was it for me. On a positive note, I was immediately seated in the salon chair and had no wait time. But the timer ringing that my hair was ready went unnoticed, and the person washing my hair afterwards was preoccupied on her phone. Nice friendly staff but disappointed! I was greeted when I first came in and got checked in fairly quickly. My complaint is I had booked for roots and partial highlights framing my face. My stylist Hanna greeted me and went over what I had booked and proceeded to tell me she would not be able to do my highlights due to my hair being so dark, (I have dark brown hair). While there are definitely circumstances where we can lift darker hair, this is determined by the stylist during the consultation, as everyone's hair is different, and we will let any guest know if it is not possible, as we do not want you to have unfavorable results. Showed a picture of a couple transformation photos on their yelp page that they have done and when I asked for the same service they told me they don't provide that service and they only provide grey coverage. However weeks prior they told my friend they would provide a highlight service for her. Also how can you have highlight appointment options and then say you don't provide any highlighting services

I have been going to MR for a while now. I think the concept is great and was so excited by it. The salon is clean and presentable. The App is great too. However i have had a couple of questionalble experinces. The colorists do not take care at all to keep to the hairline, and due to the fact that their hair barrier cream does not work (i bring my own), i have left the salon numerous times with a black skin cap that takes days to fade. No one answers the phone. I tried to find out if they use ammonia- free hair color. No one calls back. I'm not comfortable going to a place that doesn't have a live person but only an internet signup.
