Had a great first visit to Madison Reed! I have been using their at home color kits for a couple years but could never manage to cover my greys doing it myself. Ashley was wonderful and now there's not a hint of grey in my hair! Everyone was very friendly and made sure to check on me throughout my visit. I highly recommend coming here to have your roots done- it's relatively quick and painless, as well as reasonably priced at $60 for a root touch up.

First time at Color Bar. Kris gave me the exact color I was hoping for. Great staff, everyone was very friendly and helpful. I'll definitely be returning in a few weeks. Keep up the great work!

I use Madison Reed hair color at home but was in the city for a party and decided to get my hair done in their pop up salon. Friendly service and did a great job.

My 2nd time back and it was even better than the first. Staff is attentive. Service is quick but not rushed. I used a groupon so it was a good deal but then I also sprung for the blowout and it was worth it. Color is spot on and custom mixed by the colorist based on my feedback. They keep your color on file so you don't have to remember from one appointment to the next. I think it's a great service.

I've been coming here for almost two years every 2-3 weeks. It is consistently great! I love Maggie, in my opinion she's the best colorist. I do think the app needs some work. I especially would like the ability to schedule my appointments with my favorite stylist through the app versus having to call each time. At times I don't have time to call due to a demand job, that I am forced to wait getting an appointment.

This place is my new secret weapon, but do not come in with a time restraint because you can't rush beauty! I was able to get a gloss for my blond hair without permanently adding color and it does work! This is a great alternative to give your hair a refresh in between highlights, at least for my ashy blond hair. I love that the color can also be purchased and done at home or you can just get the color done and blow out your own hair. I highly recommend it.

What I liked: No harsh chemicals, ammonia free ingredients all made by Madison Reed. Alexa was really amazing between her patience, answering all of my questions and knowing the right products to use. The concept of just getting the color done was great and because I usually travel to Rockland and I didn't have the time. First visit I arrived early. They were accommodating and explain the concept. When the colorist was done I asked for who was going to be doing the Blow out. She didn't know I had a blow out and checked and said, no ma no blow out was written but don't worry someone will do it. I discovered Madison Reed through Yelp but I was aware of their $65 new client root packages from various advertisements throughout the City, ie at bus stops Bc I am lazy and ride the bus often. I called ahead to make an appointment and the receptionist was wonderful. She was able to accommodate my schedule partly because they are open 8am-9pm on Thursdays and Fridays.
