I called and asked if they took reservations for large groups. I was told, "yes." I made a reservation, a week + in advance, for 12 people for a Saturday night at 6pm. Sad to say this was the worst food I have had at a restaurant. I ordered fish & chips. The pieces of fish were hot but tasteless, sitting on a bed of cold greasy fries. The friendly waiter promptly brought a fresh order of fries, but the temp was only half the problem: the flavor was of old grease. My friend had the roast beef, but it was not to his liking either (I was embarrassed because I had suggested trying this place.) second time tonight we walked in here and no service !!! we walked out again .. horrible when bartender playing with tv and other girl drinking her drink and we just sit there like we're not there

I used to go to this location. The manager was rude and the food was cold and under cooked. I will not be going to this location. the Maggie's in Brookfield has great atmosphere and the food always comes out right. in my opinion stay away from the Southbury location. Dean
When the best you can say is "you probably won't die after eating here", then you know you've made a mistake. This might be the worst lunch out I've had in a while. Maybe ever. I can't think of one that's worse. We can start with the parking lot. It was Saturday at noon and it was empty. I should have taken my cues from that to begin with. I'll give 2 stars only because our waiter was excellent. Unfortunately Maggie's just isn't what it used to be. My French onion soup tasted like I was just eating brown water. Food was bland all together. Very disappointing. I was told by our waiter there's nothing to do about the food because nobody in the kitchen speaks English. Won't be long before this chain fizzles out. Which is sad because Maggie's used to be great!

Went last night after a movie. Should have known something was up because usually a Maggie's on a Saturday is a wait. Ordered wine-There we're pieces of cork floating at the top. Asked for 2 plates to share a salad. One plate was just "washed" but still had food on it. Ordered a pasta dish and asked for no bacon. My wife and I stopped by for a meal and a cocktail.Kerry was a our waitress and took our drink order. I ordered a bottle of beer and my wife had a glass of wine. It took a long time for her to bring our drinks. When she finally delivered the drinks, she appoliged about the wait and said the bartender must of been busy.
