Terrible evening at the SLC Melting Pot. We get their and the AC isn’t working, it’s 95 degrees in the restaurant and by the time you start cooking the meat, it’s up to 99 degrees right at your table. The service was mediocre at best, a pretty inattentive waiter, kept forgetting things. Our first time at this location and unfortunately will be our last.
We had a waiter in training. The trainee was ok, friendly. The trainer was horrible. They didn’t explain anything and service was slow. We had to physically stand up and seek someone out 3times. Super disappointed! We were celebrating a birthday
Food quality was not like it uses to be, the potatoes especially were not good. We were told the group before us was 45 minutes late, so our table wasn’t ready until 9:45 PM. The lights turned off while we were still eating the main course because it was so late. They were very apologetic, but they should have never sat a large group 45 minutes late when they knew another group had reservations. We’ve been coming here since it opened, but I don’t think we will return.
One of our burners didn’t work. Probably ate some raw food
Service was fantastic, food was subpar and ridiculously overpriced. Wine list is an embarrassment.
The food was average at best…nowhere near worth the price. It’s was fun to do once
Parking confusion is a major problem to start the night off at this restaurant. There was no valet as indicated on our reservation. The parking app did not work for nearby lot. It took 30 mins to park (arrive very early for your reservation!) The restaurant was short staffed (like every restaurant now), but our waitress worked hard to salvage our evening. The service was extremely slow. It was a very very disappointing experience. Not worth the time or money.
For a higher than average priced restaurant this was a terrible restaurant…. The line up was like going into a breakfast bar like ihop or Dennys….. Children walking around ….. 7pm reservation finally seated at 7.25pm ……. Didn’t stay ……
