Love it! This printer came with a comprehensive manual, CD with app install, and 4 ink cartridges. It's lightweight and very easy to put ink inside. The setting up process is not long. Once the printer was connected to WiFi, we installed the app. For newer laptops that do not have CD-ROM as was the case with one of ours, we went to control panel, chose printers and this printer was on the list of available to install, so we were all set pretty quickly. Incredibly slow even on draft printing setting; lots of connection problems. We print a lot and we’ve loved Brother printers. I bought this as a backup printer because we homeschool and print a ton- we depend on having a printer at the ready constantly. This printer is far from meeting our needs. will never buy used-like new again spent hundreds of dollars on purchasing the genuine ink for it still does not actually print decent quality if prints at all
Terrible printer, buyer beware! Bought this printer because it seems to have a decent cost per printed page. Well, it doesn't. Bought several sets of different cartridges (including official Brother ink) and each had issues. Every single page I've printed has lines running through it and faded ink. Cleaning the print heads over and over again did almost nothing. I've tried all the usual troubleshooting steps, watched YouTube tutorials, and sunk way too many hours into this. Works until it doesn’t It worked great for 2 years and then quickly went down hill. The feeder was folding the paper and causing jams. I wasted SO much paper. I called tech support and they laughed at me! Brother printers have lost my business.
Item was defective This printer had a defective drum and was ghost printing images from other print jobs onto the document I was printing. When I processed the return I learned that Brother required me to pay the postage to return their defective printer. Reaching out to Brother customer service is an exercise in futility. I'm going to return this item and never do business with Brother again.
Not worth the money. I bought this printer last year model# MFCJ805DW and it's never printed well at all. I even bought the new Brother ink packs and still prints terrible. It never prints the correct colors. I've had to clean the print heads several times, but this never helps. I contacted Brother to return it to them and they said no, I'd have to deal with Amazon. My warranty is up next week so I'm stuck with a $300+ all in one that I will no longer use. Sad, sad day.
