Worked well for a couple months I was initially happy with this purchase. However, the printer began needing the headers cleaned every 10-20 pages after a couple of months and has continued to require this maintenance. This wastes a LOT of ink. To add to the headache, this machine only accepts brother ink and won't use other brands. After 10 prints or so, the ink becomes faded, unreadable, or nonexistent until the headers are cleaned. Seems like such a great idea, but print heads CONSTANTLY clog! I like the idea of a printer with high-capacity refillable tanks. Unfortunately, this printer doesn't live up to its potential. I haven't even gone through my first tank of any ink, but I literally have to run the print head cleaning cycle EVERY SINGLE TIME I print something. Not worth it I got this printer as the ink is supposed to last a long time. NOPE. So not worth it . Wish I bought a cheap one as Im biyingbink all the time anyway.Simply doesnt work as advertised.
Doc Feeder Never worked a day in its life Printer is fine, but the doc feeder never, at any point, worked. Claims its jammed, there's no paper, same runaround every time. You would think spending this kind of money on something it would work.
Worst printer I ever purchased!!! This printer never produced good color from when I took it out of the box. When I contacted Brother, they suggested I got through all these print adjustment steps (which used MY printer ink) to remedy the problem. Didn't work. Then they suggested I do a print nozzle cleaning. Of course, I had used all the ink doing the print adjustment so had to order more ink to do the next step. They "graciously" offered to exchange the printer for a refurbished one, which meant I'd have to box it and ship... read more
Flimsy and useless. This worked for about 3 months and then just stopped. Couldn't be fixed. There is no manual for this printer! Would not recommend!
Don't buy it!!! I'm so sorry I made this purchase. It is not an intuitive machine. Customer Service is non-existent, and it doesn't perform several functions, like envelope printing if it's more than one. Customer Service could resolve my issues, but there is none, only manuals.
Broke after a couple years for no reason It doesn’t take up anything thicker than the thinnest paper anymore, which the whole reason I bought it was to print glossy paper which is the slightest bit thicker than plain paper, it worked fine for two years but I mean I wish it would keep working?
