Terrible. Printer will 100% be connected and online and you will have every connected computer in the house tell you it's not. Not to mention reinstalling is a huge pain. Their drivers don't even work unless you install the entire all in one package full of bloatware. You should be able to type printer in the search bar search for the printer and it should connect. Yet even if it finds the brother printer it will tell you no too bad. I'd give negative stars if I could die to frustration.
False paper jam Keep getting paper jam messages but there is no paper jam, but it does stop the printer from working until you clear the false paper jam. I followed all the steps to clear it, printed one sheet of paper and got the paper jam error again. Recently I have had a Canon printer, a HP printer and this thing. All seem to have their own set of problems. I don't know what to do next, but it would have brother on it.
If you don't print daily, don't buy! This printer is absolutely terrible, my wife and I print a picture or recipe maybe once a week. Over time, the quality gets worse and has visible weak lines using the Black. If printing in color it's very noticeable, if printing in black and white its barely readable. Attempted swapping cartridges (all Brother brand products), installing Brother software on my devices and followed their documentation. Lack of customer service This is my 3 rd Brother Printer and had no complaients with the 1st two. Then I had a paper jam which I fixed immediately without and pieces of paper missing for the jammed paper. From then on it has been an nightmare, printing comes out blury, lines are crooked and print is either smudged or looks like greek. Glitchy - no confidence in its dependability This printer started out great, but just outside of the return time frame it decided they have lots of warning lights they won’t shut off. When I bought this we also bought two new genuine refill packs for the ink. We got to the point when it was time to add new ink, we did so. The printer still thinks it still needs ink when it doesn’t, and always shows errors with flashing lights and we can’t seem to get the lights to shut off. DO NOT BUY Worst printer I have ever bought. Do not buy. It broke within a week and keeps sending error message. Really cheap.
PAPER JAMS: The WORST printer I have ever had! I bought this at a big box store because it was $30 cheaper at the time but I thought I'd warn everyone so they didn't make the same mistake I did. No lying, this thing jams at least half the time. I just tried to print out a recipe and it took me 3 tries. Time crunch-forget it. No way you'll be able to get that project printed on time. Print Quality is Horrible The print quality is horrible. Everything, both images and text, looks muted and dull. I tried printing on High Quality and that improved the quality slightly, but still not great. I am embarrassed to have anyone see any of the documents. The worst print quality I have ever seen from a printer.
Not for multiple page copying If you EVER do multiple page copying, this is not the right printer. You originals AND your copies will be completely out of order.
