I start off this review by saying the nurse and doctor were very friendly. This would be a 5-Star review but for the following. A few weeks ago I was feeling sick and wanted to go to an urgent care. I called and asked if they took my insurance and was assured they do. So I made an appointment. When I checked in I gave my insurance card and nothing was said. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. 3 months later I'm still waiting for them to refund me the multiple charges they charged. This place is absolutely ridiculous.

Just left here because they couldn't verify my insurance (BCBS PPO) and wanted to charge me a $100 co-pay (I don't have copays on my plan and my deductible has been met) and they wanted to put a $265 hold on my card "until the insurance pays." Incredibly ridiculous and a huge waste of time.

This is NOT the place to go unless you've literally got no other option and your next option is the emergency room. I had a sinus infection so I came in for an appointment. This is something I've done in the past with other urgent care providers and my typically billed amount is ~$50 for this service. It's a quick appointment, low draw on their resources, so that to me seems like a reasonable amount. This place is a total scam. Brought my daughter in for a strep test. Doctor we saw was kind and professional, but billing desk was dishonest. Told me the visit would be $50, ended up charging $239. When I asked for a receipt so I could take up the extra charges with my insurer, they claimed the "system was down." Only after I complained loudly in front of other patients did they give me a receipt (seems the system wasn't down after all).

This clinic is joke! I would have given this clinic zero stars but unfortunately, one star is the lowest permissible! I walk in and Mike at the front desk begins to check me in. Mike asked me 4 times how much my PPO insurance deductible was and each time I told him I don't recall the exact dollar amount. Did not take my BCBS, but that's my fault for not checking before I went. Since I was a self pay, though, it seemed like they could not wait to not provide me adequate service. Despite presenting with seemingly every classic symptom of mono, I was not tested for mono. Was tested for strep, which I have had numerous times, that came back negative. The doctor was great. The visit was pleasant . However, when they ran my insurance info. They tried to tell me that my deductible was not met and I had to pay $153. I knew this was wrong. I had just had a major shoulder surgery. How could my deductible NOT be met? My insurance company had to actually call them to verify it. I wonder how many people got scammed without realizing it?

I came into MedSpring Urgent Care with my best friend who had been suffering from migraines for an entire night and the receptionist Luis was very rude from the beginning having an attitude. And when asked about my friends insurance coverage he just gave her the card and told her to call and come back when she knew if what she had was PPO or HMO.
