The most unsatisfying customer service I have ever experienced. A scheduled appointment that the dealer and I were prepared for that was to take at least 3 hours. It took longer, and during the wait I did not get timely information of progress, findings, problems or estimate of time required to complete the service, except for one communication that said I needed parts and hence would spend more money. The service department tried to find out why my check engine light was on and charged me hours of fees. They did not find the problem and told me that I needed repairs that would cost almost $2,000.00. I went to another dealer and had the real problem repaired. If I had listened to BMW of Annapolis, I would have paid for unnecessary repairs. Get a second opinion before paying for service.
BMW of Annapolis Service department has worked on my car 3 times in the past 90 days ( same problem every visit) the first 2 visits my car was under warrenty my 3rd visit with same issue was now not under warrenty. They told me they could fix my car for $2,500 (third visit). I told them it was the same issue they promised was fixed the first 2 visits. Had an issue with my seat warmer, unfortunately, the car was no longer under warranty. The service rep went far beyond, and convinced BMW to cover the costs of the material. I just had to pay for the service. It took several hours, so it was still several hundred $$, but much better than it would have been otherwise. Thank you Alan...
I recently purchased a very good condition BMW, C330Ci with 87,000 miles. I'm not new to exotic cars, not that a 330 is exactly exotic. However, I decided to have the car inspected, including the state inspection, and an oil service done at BMW of Annapolis. I was not expecting any issues with the car, it had just passed a Virginia State inspection. My date of service 1/17/2012: I read reviews of Anap BMW service for the first time today and could not agree more with what another reviewer (vahidsedghi) wrote. Do NOT Go there for service. I have an 03 X5 and the last time I used them for service 2 yrs ago I swore I would never go back after they put on a thousand dollars worth of new tires and did not replace the valve stems and I subsequently had a blowout due to the valve stem being dry rotted. Richard Saah is as bad as car finance man come. The car I purchased MSRP 40655. During the signing process gross capital cost on the car went up to 41232. I found it interesting. After selling me the lease insurance he insisted that I needed to purchase the Resist-All interior and exterior protection kit. I figured it was a waste. The entire process was a rush job. On one recent occasion, after new brake pads, the car was returned to us with the ABS and DSC no longer working. There appears to be little concern that the car was returned in an unsafe condition. On a second recent occasion, the car was taken in with a third of a tank of gas. It was there for most of the week waiting for parts, which was OK. I am deeply disappointed with my service experience yesterday, and BMW of Annapolis made no attempt to resolve the matter. After reading other comments on this forum, the outcome is regrettable though not surprising. I only wish I performed a simple internet search prior to scheduling an appointment at BMW of Annapolis.
