This apartment may seem like living in a hotel because of semi-closed areas in hallways and elevators, but we fortunately ended up living in an apartment that is very convenient to the parking garage and back yard to take out our dogs. The actual apartment community is growing! We are receiving new equipment for our gym and the community. The staff are very friendly and helpful. So, here is the reality! It's an apartment. You don't live on a private street in Rancho Santé Fe! That being said, the San Diego market is different than LA or Boston. Mira Bella is not a luxury apt. It is a very nice Luxury appointed apartment. Like many of you, I'm still a homeowner not used to apartment living. Things you need to know right now. 1)They did NOT throughly clean my apartment before I moved in. There was no carpet cleaning, just a quick run of the vacuum. How do I know? When I moved in there was an eating stud on the floor in the bathroom and when I closed the windows the carpet started to smell like Body Odor. Cannot be more thrilled with staying in my first apartment in San Diego at Mira Bella! Moved here from NYC so still getting over the rent shock (you can never get something like an apt. here back home!!) It is beautifully kept clean and updated. The entire complex is gorgeous and super quiet, where are all the people!? I live in a one bedroom that is ridiculously spacious for one person, I don't know what to do with all the space! Everywhere you go, people will have their positive and negative experiences. I have been here almost a year and absolutely love it here. Summer was great, good events put on my the staff and I enjoyed the pool a lot. Plenty of amenities. Cleaning crew does a decent job picking up after people around here. I have lived in MANY apartment complexes in my life and the maintenance staff and ease of scheduling a task is by far the best. Really good people work here from the office to the maintenance. Its a nice place to live. It's pretty quiet for the most part. People are lazy and throw their trash into other people's trash containers which is annoying because I am not cleaning it up for them so it just sits in there. I agree with the comment below - The paint is VERY cheap and flakes off of the cupboards. The property manager needs to learn email/letter etiquette. He underlines/bolds/colors "important" words in red. I feel like I'm being scolded every time I read one of his emails sent to the whole community. We are ... read more

Moving in on 10/11! This review is purely for James Sammons (Assistant Community Manager) who has been helping us with the application process and getting out new home! He is SO FRIENDLY and VERY personable. It comforts me to know that the people I will be giving my hard earned money to, I actually respect and like. In shopping for San Diego apartments, I found a place I really liked. In talking to the manager, I asked who their biggest competitors were, and Mirabella was at the top of the list. I decided to check it out, and boy am I glad I did. I moved in summer of 2012, and love it. I'll try and pare this down to my favorite things: 1) LOOKS amazing. I have been living here for 2 years and I'm very happy. I have seen many positive upgrades and changes throughout the year. I have all the amenities that one could ask for.. a clean gym, yoga room with a couple classes a week available, complementary to residences, salt water heated pool, with huge jacuzzi, and a nice club room, with pool table, tv's and a great place to entertain.
