I am not Impressed by This gym one bit. I had called and talked to someone about coming in to cancel my membership. MSF bought all of the ray road golds gym contracts as the gym went bankrupt and it is impossible to get ahold of anyone from that gym. I come in and am told that i have to pay a fee to cancel my membership. I was told that I was on a month to month and could cancel when ever with out having to pay a fee. When I asked to please get a copy of my contract I was told they were unavailable. This was a big turn off. ... read more

I have a family member who had a membership at Gold's Gym which abruptly closed. Evidently, Mountainside bought out the Gold's contract which seemed fine as initially she was told that she would be able to cancel with out issue. However, when she brought it up they told her that corporate had "changed their minds" and now she has to honor the membership or pay and absurd cancellation fee! One of the great things about Golds was that it she could use the pool and hot tub. Mountainside has neither! If she wanted a membership t... read more

I signed a contract with Gold's gym which suddenly closed with no notice, Gold's transferred my contract to Mountainside Fitness and I could not be more disappointed. Mountainside wants to charge me a cancellation fee, tho I never signed a contract with them. The establishment does not have the pool, jacuzzi, or massage chairs that I went to Gold's for specifically and paid extra for in my contract. This is ridiculous, how can you charge a cancelation fee for a contract is in good because Mountainsides Facilities are lacking... read more

Forcing me to pay them for a contract I never entered with them! I was a member at golds gym in chandler who went out of business. Golds gym sold their contracts to Mountainside Fitness. I have spoken to two separate location employees who stated the contracts were void and Golds members were month to month with Mountainside now. If I wanted to cancel come in anytime. No obligation. When it comes down to it they want to charge to get out of the membership with them. One that I never cared to enter or signed with them. I unde... read more

I have been to over a dozen health club's in the past. This one gets 5 stars because the facility is always well maintained, clean, never seen equipment in disrepair but the best part is the staff is incredibly friendly always greeting on arrival or thanking me on departure. My only criticism is music is too loud for me.

Very excellent facilities. For as expensive as it is, it's worth the cost. They keep it super clean and everyone is usually smiling. I was a member for about a year and enjoyed always having equipment available. Also like that this is an Arizona business. I'm fine with no pool and no racquetball courts in exchange for towel service and clean equipment.

I enjoy the gym for the classes. DJ cycle is fun. I appreciate the intense cardio workout but you can still work at your own pace. The live music is loud and energizing. It's only offered on Saturday morning which is usually packed. The cycle room is small and bikes are so close together. It doesn't take long for the room to heat up. I tried Peak Performance Zone twice. It's held in the gym area and not in a classroom. I found the class extremely challenging and some exercises I just could not do. I also thought it was very ... read more

Yesterday went in to do 5 day pass, don't have Arizona state dL, so I only can workout one day. Okay no problem! Talk to the girl about a week pass for when I come in tomorrow. So this morning on my fasted cardio, wanted to use the restroom as I walked by and to the guy behind the counter that I was here yesterday etc. I don't have my wallet on me to buy the pass but I'd be back this afternoon after my class. Refused to let me use the restroom, so I refuse to buy a pass and spend money there! Customer lost!

(Ahwatukee) Great gym, friendly staff, generally very clean. The classes are so fun and sooo hard. The trainers are great at varying the workouts, giving different modifications for the range of fitness levels. My personal favorites are Muscle, Barre and Yin Yoga. Some friends like the harder classes better like Peak Performance and Amp'd. Some people work out on they're own. If there is one gripe I have, it's that I wish they'd bring Daniel back to teach spin. Pleeeeease?!
