Mountainside Fitness Google Review of dislocated hip on 2.2.22 On 10.29.21 I had right hip replacement surgery. On 2.2.22 I had dislocated my right hip on the leg press machine at the Carefree Mountainside gym. I had performed that same weight twice before and was attempting my third set when I dislocated that right hip. Many gym members came to my rescue and started removing the weight from the machine. Would be better if they didn't have people sitting and chatting on machines for 20 minutes. It's a gym, right?

Great club, and now there will be some massage chairs! The only thing they can improve on......Would to add 2 Smith Machines. There is one that is very easy to use and another that if very difficult to use. add 2 more of the very easy to use type! Thanks! Larry

They have many excellent instructors here but one stands out for me...JILL M. Her spin classes are awesome and I wish she would take on more spin classes!!! Mountainside is always clean and neat. Thanks for great workouts!

I am a reverse snowbird and join a gym in Phoenix during winter only. I had been wondered if Mountainside Fitness is avaiable for a monthly base membership. One day I finally opened the door and talked to Evan Weinkle, a member service representative at Carefree Mountainside Fitness. I asked him many questions about an agreement. This is fast becoming my favorite Mountainside Fitness. Ever since they knocked down the wall and added that extra crossfit room. It is a much bigger area than the other crossfit rooms at the other gyms and it is the only one to have a speed bag. Actually the one in Scottsdale next to the Overeasy has a speed bag as well. Great gym. Similar to LA fitness with the addition of TRX bands, kettlebells, and boxing equipment.

The woman who helped us was very respectful, informative, and made our child feel right at home! Its a beautiful, clean facility! I plan on being a member as long as possible. They have everything here!!! A rock wall, salon, classes, nutrition station, physical therapy! I can't believe we didn't switch sooner! We cancelled our LA fitness membership because of a bad experience with a manager threatening that someone may throw our child. I recommend MountainSides kid zone to any moms and dads that are looking for a great safe... read more

UPDATE: July 3rd '13 - After this posting yesterday I received a call from Tammy about my situation. It's nice to know they monitor these sites. She was very curtious and helpful at resolving the issue. She agreed to credit me the monthly charge for July but more importantly we had a good conversation about how this could be prevented in the future. I've been a member since Jan 2009. It's been a good place to go since it's close to where I work -- I can't go home without driving past the gym so...yeah...no excuses. I have used almost every service available at the gym...seriously - yoga, massage, chiropractor, trainer, hair salon... YOGA - I LOVE LOVE LOVE their yoga classes.
