Don't come if you're trying to get a good workout in. Great facility with equipment (if kept up). First grip is the machines such as erg rowers and truform runner. Batteries are completely dead. Second, If your trying to lift other than deadlift and rack pulls since that's seems to be the only movement being performed on the rig. Their, don't get your hopes up about gym ethics no one will ask if you're using the workout area. If you're a parent trying to escape your teenager. Good luck! The gym itself is fine. However, in today's climate it is a public health concern. Their mask policy is a farce. Even the staff don't wear mask or wear them inappropriately, eg... Alexander. Then there is the patrons less then half wear a mask correctly. Most use them as chin diapers. Now I agree people have a choice to not use this facility, but I feel it's important information for those that want a safe and clean environment to workout. This place is not that. Updated 9/23/20 I am so impressed by the child care at Moutainside. We were so nervous to have Jill leave because we loved her however Melissa is doing such a great job and we love her just as much. My daughter was having a hard day and didn't want to leave me. Melissa, who is in charge of gymcare, took my daughter and held her and rubbed her back until she was ok to play. It seriously made me feel so comforted knowing that my child/children are being so well taken care of. It's great too because Melissa is a mother herself ... read more

The gym is clean and really a place I'd recommend pre Covid. The problem with the gym now is its not safe. You are required to wear a mask in but not required to wear a mask when working out. There are signs but no employee speaks up to enforce the signage. Covid will spread at this gym because the staff don't enforce the mask policy which is very sad

Been a member for about 2.5 years. Last year I developed pancreatic cancer and asked them to freeze my membership. They said they said ok. No one told me that they could only freeze my membership for 3 months. Then my account was charged again not only a monthly fee but there most ridiculous annual fee as if 44.00 a month isn't enough. When I could work out the only thing I ever used was the cardio equipment and weights and once in awhile the restroom. Love this gym.. Since the media driven panic of a virus and politically motivated control of the public this gym has risen above..Employees are wearing masks and are continuously spraying down the equipment to make sure there is no issue with the spread of a virus with a 98% survival rate. Gym patrons are wiping down the equipment with sani wipes after use, every other treadmill is shut down for social distancing and classes are reduced and participants are more than 6 ft apart, both before and after classes the room is clea... read more

When the YMCA closed down the Silver Sneakers 'free' program, my husband and I begin to look for another place that would work for us. The fitness center at Carefree and 27th Avenue is where we landed. They give us a great deal that is very affordable. I was so used to going to the YMCA for over 9 years that I had forgotten had beautiful and clean this Mountain Fitness was. We had been there the first few years that Mountain Fitness opened. We had a truly five star experience here with Joe, our membership services associate. He was helpful, informative, and most of all no pressure. Frankly, this gym facility and its amenities sells itself. Spacious. Clean. Well equipped. Joe was the very pleasant human component that helped guide our initial tour. We visited three gyms this morning and chose MF based upon the informative and no pressure sales approach, but mainly the amenities and included classes. Very competitive. My family and I have been going to this gym for 2 1/2 years now. Everyone is super friendly and the gym is always clean. Great gym!
