I was a member at Mountainside Fitness for most of 2021, until I moved out of AZ. I mostly went to the Paradise Valley location on Shea, but I can't find that location in Yelp, so I'm just putting my review here. :) I went to a few other locations for some classes, but the PV location is definitely the best. This mountainside is the best location I've been to! The equipment is always clean, it's a very friendly environment, and the staff is always so kind. I have not come in once without a staff member greeting me kindly and it makes the workout even more enjoyable. The employee that stood out the most to me is Jake, as I have seen him for a while now and he has always been the sweetest boy every time I come in.. give this kid a raise ASAP!

This location is not accommodating when it comes to memberships. If you live close to this location look else where or go to another location. I froze my membership at the beginning of November do to traveling. Called today to do an extension because I'm still traveling until January 1st. Member services said I had to come in and sign a form and id better come in today...my membership is already frozen and I'm not in a contract... why would I do that? Literally the ONLY gym in 2021 that requires this for a non contract membe... read more

I had a baby in Dec 2020 so between healing, caring for a baby, and dealing with a pandemic I've been putting off going back to the gym. I tried to find time to go to the gym when someone could watch my daughter at home but it just wasn't happening. I was nervous about dropping my baby off at just any daycare so I was hesitant. This location of Mountainside has been amazing. The girls working in the daycare are super attentive and easy to talk to. I was in the Scottsdale and Shea location on 6/30 as a guest on my boyfriends membership. When I arrived on 6/30 the daycare attendant was covering the front desk and informed me she did not know what she had to do to complete the guest pass. She had me fill out a form and took a copy of my drivers license to get me going for a guest pass. There was no follow up on a guest pass after my gym visit that day, instead I received a voicemail urging me to sign up for a membership the same day as my first visit. BE WARNED! So here's an update! Where to begin, have tried to cancel this stupid membership so many times. Only to receive several texts from management (each month), always playing coy and innocent, but never apologetic. I cancelled this membership in December, 2020, in person at the Ice Den location. I visited their gym prior to their shut down, and advised them that I was canceling. I didn't live in Scottsdale, was there for a work assignment.
