This used to be my favorite gym. However their age restrictions are too low. They allow 12 and up. The gym is now overwhelmed in the evening with pre-teens who are loud and obnoxious and just sit at the machines goofing around for 10-15 minutes barely using the machines. I understand 14-15 and up and even have my son who is 15 workout here and he loves it. But trying to use the treadmill while the kids next to you are goofing around on the machines and yelling at their friends several rows up saying they will tell their teac... read more

Club makes it very hard to cancel membership. With todays technology they still require you to go into the club to cancel. Then when I went in as directed they said only certain people at certain times can cancel my membership. I later called and spoke to Kalie and she had no cares that I did what they requested still with no results. Would not give upper managements contact information either. In person cancellation process is a fraud. Moved out of state and they want certified signed letter sent to corporate office to cancel monthly charge. Sure they would be more than happy to sign up a new membership over the phone.

I was a member at Mountainside Fitness for most of 2021, until I moved out of AZ. I mostly went to the Paradise Valley location on Shea, but I can't find that location in Yelp, so I'm just putting my review here. :) I went to a few other locations for some classes, but the PV location is definitely the best. The locker room is large and has great flooring! Kind of like an outdoor mat? Whatever it is, it works well. The showers are amazing. I used them often since I hated the shower in my apt. This mountainside is the best location I've been to! The equipment is always clean, it's a very friendly environment, and the staff is always so kind. I have not come in once without a staff member greeting me kindly and it makes the workout even more enjoyable. The employee that stood out the most to me is Jake, as I have seen him for a while now and he has always been the sweetest boy every time I come in.. give this kid a raise ASAP!

This location is not accommodating when it comes to memberships. If you live close to this location look else where or go to another location. I froze my membership at the beginning of November do to traveling. Called today to do an extension because I'm still traveling until January 1st. Member services said I had to come in and sign a form and id better come in today...my membership is already frozen and I'm not in a contract... why would I do that? Literally the ONLY gym in 2021 that requires this for a non contract membe... read more
