Get directionsWe toured this community when looking for my mother and it was very nice. Staff was friendly and helpful. The reason we didn't choose this community is because we didn't like the layout. The property is individual houses and not one building. It was a nice community but not for us.
Business response:
Thank you so much for your review and your kind words about our friendly and helpful staff. We have a great team in Burleson! I'm sorry our unique neighborhood didn't work out for you and we hope you found a good fit community for your mother. Thank you again for taking the time to share your review.
I like the care that is given here. The food is good and a nice variety. The staff is very nice and helpful. My grandfather is not participating in the activities, but they are offered to him. The community is clean and bright and a good atmosphere for him. We would recommend the care and the value for other families to see this very nice home for a loved one.

Mustang Creek Estates is severely understaffed. They expect 2 people to handle 15 to 17 residents. In the house my husband was in, 3 residents needed the Hoyer lift (a 2 staff required procedure) & 3 to 4 others needed assistance with transfers. The same 2 people were supposed to distribute meds, clean & shower the residents, as well as cook, serve & clean up after 3 meals a day. They were also supposed to do activities as the activity director spent little time in House F. It was not a good situation.
No staff training. No school for bathing. No respect for residents.
Business response:
We can assure you that our team members are required to go through comprehensive, thorough training upon hire and ongoing, well above state required minimums. Additionally, our team members are required to complete monthly training to ensure they are up to date on all policies and procedures. The State of Texas recently scored the campus the highest rating. We care deeply for all of our residents, and the well-being of our residents is our highest priority. Thank you.
They assigned my Mom to a house and later got a complaint from [name removed] stating that my Mom really needed more care than she thought, wanted me to change her to another house, we can afford to pay more right now and she hadn't even really allowed proper time for my Mom to acclimate to new surroundings, Mom is finally beginning to visit with other residents and make friends so really do not want to move her again especially as she has dementia and I feel moving here would not be beneficial, my Mom's hospice nurse feels ... read more

Thank you for sharing your experience. We take all feedback seriously. During our evaluation and assessment process, we gather information that the family informs us of. That will help determine the proper house best fit for a resident. It is very important that all families we meet with share any important information about their loved one when providing it, to ensure that residents are assigned to an adequate house best suited for them. We are happy to say that we worked very hard with you and your family to move your mom ... read more
They had a high turnover of employees that didn't have enough training. My husband had a lot of issues but they assured me they had the training to handle. I usually went over there twice a day. The attendants would never introduce themselves and most of the times didn't even know the name of the other employees they were working with. I brought my husband home after 6 months. After he was there about 2 months they moved him to another house and a room with no private shower and went up on monthly [fee removed]. My first exp... read more
Mom would. always tell us that she stayed in her room and no one ever came to check on her or spoke to her. The first couple of months, she would be in the lobby watching TV with a few other residents. The last few months she was always in her bed, with door closed. The only staff we saw were the ones cooking, if we were there at meal time. She is now living in an apartment in Nebraska with one of my brothers.
My mil was only there 5 months. The 1st 2 months were fine. Then they lost 16 employees and hired a new Ed. She has ruined the place. So many negative changes. I hope whoever has their loved one their leaves

They did not take care of my husband. 3 broken ribs and After many conversations about what he didn't like to eat. They still did not feed him anything he would eat. He lost weight and spent a lot of time going to emergency from falling. I could go on and on. Bathroom was dirty every time I visited. Found urine on his clothes in the bottom of his closet. $ [removed]hearing aids stolen. Computer charger stolen. His daughter had to clean bathroom before she let her daughter use it. One of the staff [profanity removed] me out f... read more
