The staff is always outside or entertaining their own children or family members. The patients have to wait for hours for anything they ask for or need. Our family member has fallen numerous times and laid on the floor for long periods of time. When any staff member is asked what happened, the reply is always they don't know, they weren't there, or they normally don't work in that building. The community is great! It is exactly the type of environment my mom needed. The homes have an amazing family style arrangement for the living and dining areas. Meals are home cooked daily. Nothing about the environment feels institutional. The staff is very friendly, welcoming and loving. I cannot say enough great things!!!

Management was not given the tools, resources or finances to deliver adequate staff or quality care, corporate didn't help them or care either. Corporate for this facility did NOT return calls or answer complaints despite many attempts! The units are understaffed especially the evening shifts. Some staff were very immature and not well trained, one in particular was more concerned with visiting favorite residents and how her nails looked than caring for clients. It's one of the worst places. They were not taking care of my loved one, who was left unattended. The caregivers were often no where to be found, to take care of the other residents.The food was horrible. The staff was not well trained. Beware!!!

The staff is very friendly, caring, and compassionate. They try very hard to do all they can, and for the most part they do a great job. It's just that they need more people, just so that they can check on the patients more frequently than they're able to currently. Also, the food and activities could use a little bit more variety. But overall, I would definitely recommend looking into it for your family member.

The lies ,the promises by the director are so bad and yet the owners believe in that she is doing a great job. In reality she needs a career change and never be allowed to be in any facility dealing with the elderly. The turn over in employees are about every two weeks, bad management. They have 5 houses approximate 15 residents in eac house , they leave the residents alone 30 minutes to one hour with no care givers in the house, most times the care givers are outside between breaks so therefore if your loved one falls or ne... read more

They have separate housing for the residents depending on the level of care that is needed - our loved ones bedding was only changed twice in a couple of months. It was not kept clean. There was not enough staff to get things done - there was 1 person trying to do the laundry, cooking, showering and cleaning and it was just way to much. I like Mustang Creek Estates Sachse a lot! There's always enough staff. Each one has their favorites and gives them a little more TLC. They're very nice and kind. There is always someone there to help, and they answer the call buttons and get there as quick as they can. It's a homey environment. It's a smaller community in a house, with only about 10 people, and I like that setup. And there's always two staff members there 24/7.
