I have had two Navien combi boilers installed in my home. One installed around 10 years ago by a licensed plumber. It was nothing but trouble. Shutting down, gas leaks, water leaks, noise. Navien says it was installed incorrectly and the plumber insisted it was installed properly and the boiler was defective. Second one installed three years ago by yet another licensed plumber. We had a Navien Tankless Water Heater installed in our house 3 years ago. August 27, 2022 it quit working. After 5 weeks of emails back and forth between Navien and myself/the plumber we finally received a new heat exchanger. It was installed today October 4, 2022 and the system worked long enough for one shower and quit. The plumber returned and was able to get it working again and this time it worked long enough to clean one sink of dishes. We are getting error code E407. their "tech" Cody is as incompetent as he is rude. he hung up on me 2x. he was not able to resolve the issue with this tank. do not buy navien

I inherited a Navien 240A when we bought our house. We called a plumber who to make a long story shot gave bad info. I called Navien and tech support confirmed my suspicion. We brought in a second plumber, who confirmed what Navien said but then told me because someone else had opened the unit, he could not repair it. I called Navien back and was told they do not offer support to owners. With no options, I returned to the unit and found it just had to be manually rebooted. Bureaucracy at its finest ruins another company.

I have a Navien NPE 240A it worked great 4 years. Since then, horrible! Paid a plumber $500+ and it worked for about 4 to 6 weeks then started cutting off again. Get code ED12 all the time. Was once or twice a day now it cuts off during my shower. Also getting E438 code now. Bought all the stuff to flush it. Doesn’t help! Should not have to buy a new unit already. Not happy!

Both units that were replaced were defective. Multiple visits and labor costs over $3500 and this company doesn't want to cover it, even though it's been less than a year and still under warranty They offered us $1000.00 to go away??? YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME....DON'T GET A TANKLESS......EVER! BE AWARE!

The quality of the tankless water heater is very bad, I had it replaced at Feb/2022 because the previous was broken under the warranty(Serial number:9544-20100210-2112).But the new one was broken again after 7 days it was installed. The worse thing was the NSS said it was his fault, then he didn't replace the broke parts for me. Navien has no control to them. So I have to pay another NSS to replace the fault parts. Lousy company, lousy customer service, and even worse products. My wife and I bought a new home which came with a Navien 240A tankless water heater already installed. Six months later the unit displayed an error code 060 which is a faulty Venturi dual switch. When I called Navien warranty department about a claim, I was told a certified contractor or plumber must diagnose the problem while speaking with a Navien technical support person on the phone.
