I strongly discourage you from purchasing a Navien, Inc tankless hot water heater. We have had hot water for less than 15min since our was installed three weeks ago. Our plumber has done everything to work with the manufacture who will not replace the unit. We’ve all together sat on IT support calls for hours, we’ve tested the propane service and replaced the motherboard. Plumber is on their SEVENTH visit this month troubleshooting check valve issues. Navien is refusing replacement. May have to take them to small claims to get money back for a $5k water heater that didn’t last 9 months.

Extremely disappointed. This company does not honor warranty, I moved in few weeks ago to brand new house and water heater has issues. I want a total replacement and Navies is not responding.

I have had two Navien combi boilers installed in my home. One installed around 10 years ago by a licensed plumber. It was nothing but trouble. Shutting down, gas leaks, water leaks, noise. Navien says it was installed incorrectly and the plumber insisted it was installed properly and the boiler was defective. Second one installed three years ago by yet another licensed plumber. We had a Navien Tankless Water Heater installed in our house 3 years ago. August 27, 2022 it quit working. After 5 weeks of emails back and forth between Navien and myself/the plumber we finally received a new heat exchanger. It was installed today October 4, 2022 and the system worked long enough for one shower and quit. The plumber returned and was able to get it working again and this time it worked long enough to clean one sink of dishes. We are getting error code E407. their "tech" Cody is as incompetent as he is rude. he hung up on me 2x. he was not able to resolve the issue with this tank. do not buy navien

I inherited a Navien 240A when we bought our house. We called a plumber who to make a long story shot gave bad info. I called Navien and tech support confirmed my suspicion. We brought in a second plumber, who confirmed what Navien said but then told me because someone else had opened the unit, he could not repair it. I called Navien back and was told they do not offer support to owners. With no options, I returned to the unit and found it just had to be manually rebooted. Bureaucracy at its finest ruins another company.
