Sent a contractor into my home to fix AC. They were going to clear out main drain lines as they were clogged. They blew too much pressure into pipes and burst the pipe above my kitchen sending water through my kitchen ceiling. The contractor said he would contact Old Republic on how to proceed. They denied coverage because the pipe was now not accessible. They told me to work it out with contractor and they did not want to accept it either. So now I have to find a plumber and a sheetrock guy to fix their mess up on my own di... read more

Our water softener went out so we called OR and they said they didnt have a tech in our area so well have to find one ourselves. Basically saying were on our own and they would cover up to $500. We got it fixed and they sent a check for $400 because the service call is $100. Which is weird because this was not one of their techs. So do they just get $100 for free? Soon after that problem our AC went out and temps outside were 90+ and roughly 81 inside the house. We again reached out to OR and they said they had a tech coming... read more

I have called Old Republic at least 8 times and every time the same response. The purchasing **** hasn't picked up the ticket. I mentioned there are elderly people in the home in ****** ******* where the temps are over 90 degrees daily. I have already purchased a window unit so they will be **ol in 1 room but this unacceptable. I have called around and no ** has a **mpressor and does... read more

Home warranties are widely regarded as essentially useless, and if we can say one positive thing about Old Republic (OR), its that their offering at least meets industry standards. I would never voluntarily pay for such a plan, but one was thrust upon me by the real estate industrial complex, so I thought Id give it a whirl.I called for service on a not-cold-enough refrigerator on a Wednesday. Some no-name, bottom-feeding appliance repair outfit shows up the following Monday. Spends 5 minutes, finds ice and rust on the back,... read more

I just bought a house and I upgraded my plan shortly after I moved in because it came with the basic plan. I explained to them that I needed to coverage for a whole list of things and she said okay this plan will cover you. And then paid $750 to add that plan and then my ro filter went out and I called and they said that it's not covered and that I couldn't add it. They still send out a service technician because I was leaking hot water not cold water under my sink and the technician came out looked and said that you didn't ... read more

The "Protection" is an absolute waste of money. One would be better served putting $1K in the bank each year for home owner surprises. At ORHP $1,100 dollars a year will afford one canned emails and attitude while trying to get what you pay for. Scenario: An easy as 1, 2, 3. Range microwave goes out. Put in a request for replacement. Pay $85 dollars for someone to send you an email explaining they can't find anyone to assist. Doubt anyone lifted a finger. Its that time again. Contract automatically renews while unit is still... read more

Terrible service, took 12 days to finally get a plumber out for my toilet. Didnt do much except change the flapper (I provided the part). There seems to be no communication between Old Republic and their contractors. Then he tried to sale me a brand new toilet! Old Republic used to be a good company with above average service, but not anymore.

Horrible customer service, lack of transparency and failure to correctly complete the issue.

Requested service for broken water line in refrigerator. It took 2 weeks to get contractor out and he had to order some more line. After almost 3 weeks, called him to discover he had gotten in the line, but hadn't had time to repair our refrigerator. A few days later, he installed the new line under the bottom of the freezer door only to find the line was broken inside the door near the dispenser and the entire door must be replaced. After not hearing from Old Republic for a couple of weeks, I called on May the 14th, discuss... read more
