On Aug 22 , 2023 Old Republic to make a claim about ** problem. A company called Sea Breeze was called to evaluate. Seabreeze Tech left and claimed there is no problem with the *** The ** still not working . The Next day Old Republic was informed the Tech had left without any repair done. The work was given to Sea Breeze again. to come on the 24th. Sea breeze was asked not to leave the home until the repair was completed. Sea Breeze accepted the job. We have used ORHP in the past without any issue until this past issue that is ongoing. We submitted a service request end of July for a fridge that was not maintaining cold enough temperatures. It is now September 6 and after 2 technicians coming through, the fridge still hasnt been fixed. The first technician came out and had a part replaced that relatively quickly - within a few weeks. I do not like this company, most the vendors they are contracted with all below par, if you call different vendors they give different advise, Old republic intention is to avoid fixing things, they will give a run around in a major way, me and my kids were without AC in bedroom for 2 weeks, they send AC company guys who gave different and wrong advise, I finally paid money out of pocket to get AC fixed, I have licensed and bonded companies advising replacing the unit and old republic denies fixing unit let alone replacing th... read more

I have problem with my refrigerator for couple of weeks now. I called old republic home protection and they sent someone to check the refrigerator. This guy didnt know what he was doing. Doesnt speak English at all. Then I called back again still my refrigerator not working. They sent someone else and the guy said its not suppose to be connected to the gfi outlet. I have home warranty plan with Old Republic Home Protection. My a/c went out. We call for service the send out ****** heating and cooling. The gentlemen came out from this company stated our compressor is out. He did take device fee. He transfer the service call back Old Republic. They send a guy from Wire Shield heating and cooling and he could not fix the a/c he took the service of $110.00.. He left and the our a/c still not working. I had cracks on the heat exchange for my furnace. Luckily parts were covered under manufacturer warranty but labor wasnt. Old Republic refused to cover these labor costs b/c of the manufacturer warranty. Honestly, what is the point of paying for a home warranty if they dont cover anything?

Tried to sign up for a plan they give me one price and sent me a invoice for a different price. 6 Phone calls later all I get is being transferred to different departments so far I have had to tell my store 8 time. I can only image what it would be like trying to get a repair done. Most of the reps want to be rude and pass me off to someone else. Also been on the phone 40 minutes on hold I give up and would not recommend this company.

Ive been trying since June to get a refund of $85.00 for a service call fee that I cancelled. Spoke with many different people and was promised to have my charges reversed and there would be a credit to my Debit card. Ridiculous!! Im tired of calling and waisting my time and getting the run around. They dont even deserve a one star rating as far as Im concerned, and at this point I will definitely not be renewing my home warranty with them.

Had Old Republic for a year, and I feel confident to call them and apathetic borderline scam. It took them 89 days from the date of first to replace my washer dryer unit, most of which was me spending 1 hour + on hold waiting to speak to someone in the appliances to department. It took them 5 months (they actually closed the service request after 90 days of inactivity, even though they were the ones waiting on a quote from the provider to approve), and 3 service providers, to get someone to quote our AC ducting replacement. ... read more
