Paying for a home warranty that does not cover ANYTHING and charges outrageous service fees for jobs that can not even be covered. The communication when scheduling these home warranty visits is subpar as even when told what the issue is, knowing that it wont be covered, they still charge the $85, send someone out and then we find out its not covered. Definitely do not recommend. Its unfortunate because this is an incentive when buying a home but in reality a waste of time and money.

ORHP hires subpar contractors or service provider for their trade calls. For the first incident, it took them 3 days to send someone out to "inspect" a clog that I found 2 days after I moved in. There were no communication for over a week after the initial inspection for the fix. We bought a house last spring. The seller chose this home warranty company, and we were given the platinum package. One of the worst insurance companies ever. My cooktop broke, and they sent me a technician after charging me $85, who recommended replacing it. He sent them the measurements, and I provided the model number of my cooktop. They called me to inform me that they couldnt find the same model but would send me an email with similar options on the market for confirmation. When I purchased my condo in Fall ****, I was adamant that the seller include a reputable, comprehensive home warranty. He ultimately agreed to include a platinum level policy from Old Republic. I am sorry to report that this coverage has so far proven to be completely useless. Moreover, communication with both Old Republic and their service provider is almost totally nonexistent, and there has been no way to track service calls on their website due to ongoing technical issues. Paying for a home warranty that can't even be used. Contacted them on 2 different occasions for a dishwasher repair and a water well pump not working. Both times they had nobody to dispatch. I found my own company to come out but according to Old Republic they want the technician, company etc to call them to discuss the issue. I have had Old Republic for 4 -5 years since I bought my house. I have used the on a number of occasions without incident. The problem is when you have a conflict with contractor they dispatched there is no protocol in place to facilitate a resolution. I was put on hold and never given any assistance in resolvIng the matter. I felt like the Old Republic was on the contractors side even though it wax clearly documented a job was started and not complete. I am going in 2 and 1/2 months with no heat.

Really disappointed in their service! I have been a customer for years and have paid them a lot of money! I waited three weeks for my washing machine to be replaced. Then ORHP hires a delivery service that refuses to haul away my old machine, refuses to set my new machine on the machine pedestal, and refuses to "install" my new machine. Why did I purchased/continue to pay for an Old Republic Home Warrant (ORHP)? April 2023 rental home furnace goes out. 35 days later, plus an additional $200, it was fixed. Seven months later, the furnace goes out again.
