Typical home warranty company that doesnt cover what goes wrong with the house!! People ask me whats the best home warranty company, I always say none of them. I have had multiple contractors all saying to call another contractor because we cant help you. I literally paid a service fee and still have the same plumbing problem. What. Joke!

This company is a waist of time and money. I've been trying to get a serious plumbing issue resolved for weeks. A plumber came, immediately took my $85 before I could even say anything, then he ended up doing nothing but flushing my toilet a bunch of times. He said there is a serious problem in my bathroom but disregarded my concerns about the water and sewage backing up on the floor. He offered no solution and left. I bought an "ultimate" plan last December effective early 2023 that does not cover a 3 yr old Refrigerator even though an icon on their front page of the contract shows a refrigerator but then in small type "some states don't apply". As I spent nearly $1K on this purchase of the home warranty I am astounded that appliances are not covered in even the standard plan. I would like to file a formal complaint against Old Republic Home Protection. I purchased my home June 29, 2023 and purchased the home warranty based on a recommendation from my realtor, *********************. I am very rarely write a review. My experience with Old Republic is so poor I felt compelled to write this. I wish I never had this warranty product. Its delayed me fixing up my house for weeks.I had two broken items. The first was a Dishwasher. The in networks repairman couldnt fix it and had to order parts. He ordered one part and came back out, but then realized he needed another part. Hard to get any repair done under ORHP as most of the time the contractors report (use the wording for the diagnosis) the repair as modification, not as per the current code and inspect the work in one week. So, ORHP simply respond that sorry this repair or rectification is out of our scope and not covered under the ORHP insurance.Emergency ***************** a Big Issue: For any emergencies e.g. Water leak, drainage or HVAC issues; the contractor/s will not show up for days. Have been dealing with this company for a few years now and the contractors they use are horrible. They do not do very good work and you might be lucky to even contact them. Customer service needs a lot of improvement. People who answer the phones can never answer your questions and when they say they will call you back in ***** minutes, dont hold your breath. Have been told multiple times that I will be called back and no one ever calls. So when you call them back, the process starts all over again with a different person. ... read more

I had a home warranty with this company and my policy expired and I was unaware and when I called to find out how come I was never sent a renewal they informed me they decided not to renew my policy because they had to replace the oven that I had wasn't my fault the oven went out and the fact that they had notified me that they were discontinuing my service left me without home warranty insurance for months had I not called to find out what was going on out of the blue I would have never known and they told me it's in their ... read more

their website is "broken" and doesn't allow you to submit warranty claims via their online portal for covered items. This is completely unethical and a lawsuit needs to be filed against them about this. Completely unacceptable. They even have the nerve to keep you on hold for lengthy times and then have it tell you that you can file the claim online 24/7 which is false advertising and a slap in the face considering the reps/employees are aware of this simple IT fix that has not been implemented. Extremely shady! Beware
