Food was fresh....hot and tasty. A place to return, close to the theater and easy to make reservation. Large variety on menu. We will decided to return another time when downtown San Diego. As we were leaving we noticed, this area of downtown is not as crisp as it used to be. Hopefully, the vendor will make sure the city is aware. Grammy Sharon
This is an old favorite. The menu is extensive and fabulous. The waitress was lovely. We sat on the outdoor patio and had a good laugh of the local crazies. I highly recommend this local favorite.
While the Taylor Swift 1989 Tour concert in San Diego was playing this night we had 5:00 pm reservations and there was already a waiting list so I do not know if that had to do with the concert or whether they are always that full, but the food, service and location is excellent so it might not be a bad idea to have reservations in advance. We dined in the outdoor/patio area and the street noise was elevated so if you would like a little more ambiance and less people/traffic watching you might insist in indoor dining.
Great spot. Real fresh entrees and great pizza.
My family of 5 had lunch inside and the service was amazing. We ordered several different items to share. It was perfect. The staff was very welcoming and the attention to detail was very much appreciated. We can't wait to go back!
Felt very authentic Italy. The food, atmosphere and service was excellent. Lobster ravioli is to die for. Chocolate lava cake excellent.
Loved the food..the waiter was great...I got the special Chilean sea bass with risotto abd it was amazing. Hubby had chippino that was impressive with a lobster tail! Plenty of sea food and when asked to be prepared with a bit of garlic In sauce waiter said certainly could make that happen. We definitely will be going back. Loved sitting outside. Bit noisy but fun!
When most of the waiters speak Italian, come from Italy, you know, that your are in a real good Italian restaurant. Any time again, if I'm in town. All the plates chosen by my family were exquisite. I'm happy to notice that there are restaurants in the Us that don't stress their clients to get out for other clients. We could eat in peace as in Europe.
Every time I visit San Diego, I frequent this wonderful find in the Gas Lamp District. A local recommended it originally - while it is a tourist restaurant, it has a neighborhood feel. Kitchen is very accommodating as well.
