I have been dining at Panevino for more than 20 years, but it had been awhile since I'd been there. Restaurants in the Gaslamp come and go, but we asked our waiter how long it's been there, and the restaurant has been there since 1992! I have never, ever had a bad meal there, and this night was no exception. I was there for a Ladies' Night Out with some good friends. Visit San Diego every so often tried this restaurant for first time 6 years ago. Whenever I visit San Diego I make it a point to stop here never disappoints consistent good food and excellent service
My go to place when I come to San Diego Spectacular Food and Service Anna-Lisa is awesome !
We were looking for breakfast in the area and the experience here was just ok. It was cold in the restaurant and the service was very mediocre. There was a language barrier as well that didn't help. Food we pretty good although they only had junky corn syrup for our pancakes which was a deal breaker . Not going to return.
We always visit Osteria Panevino when we are in San Diego. Great Brunch with regular breakfast menu and special lunch items. Mario and the staff do an outstanding job. Service is excellent. Dinners are very romantic and outstanding. Highly recommend this gem.
We had dinner at Osteria Panevino the night before Valentine's Day, and we were really disappointed to see that the restaurant had increased its prices dramatically (the menu sheets can be redone and inserted into the menu folder, and that is apparently what happened). While we expect dining out on Valentine's Day to be pricier than normal, we thought that dining the night before Valentine's Day would be a way to enjoy one of our favorite Italian restaurants without being gouged - not so. Went with a group of 7 We sampled 3-4 different appetizers; all were wonderful- properly cooked and nicely presented. Highlights were the calamari as well as the carpaccio and mushrooms stuffed with crab. Salads were fresh, dressings - I had blood orange vinaigrette - were perfect added- no drowning the salad here. Food was good and plentiful. Noise level very high making dinner conversation difficult. Great wine list. Waitstaff was great.
