Very very bad service. Very slow and inattentive waiter. Food was ok, nothing special. Took almost 20 Mins to just get our drinks and then finally got our food menu. Took an hour from when we sat down to get a salad that we decided to get our food to go because it was 1.15 mins and no entree. To top it off, a couple that came before us got their food and drinks much faster even though we sat much sooner. Very disappointed and won’t be back.
Very slow service. Had to ask for water, bread, menus and waiter to order. Waiter not interested in dietary restrictions. Myself and woman in seat next to me both asked for no butter. Not sure it was included but response was indifferent, could care less. WaItress in bathroom long time on cell phone, kitchen dirty
Fox was great, as was the service. I had asked for a Manhattan prior to dinner. Not sure what I was given but never had a Manhattan served almost like a slushi. Didn’t taste like one either
Service was okay. Food came out super fast after ordering 5 mins later (kinda suspicious). Fried calamari was soggy. Linguini tasted burnt. Pizza seemed like it came out of the box. Risotto was okay. Not really a great place for Italian food
We came there to celebrate our daughter’s senior prom nite and had high hopes given the reviews on this site. My wife ordered a gluten free vegetarian pasta and it came out drenched in olive oil, almost like olive oil soup with veggies. I ordered the squid ink pasta with crab without any cream sauce. It arrived as ordered but very bland in taste and the noodles were not chewy. It’s very disappointing given that this is one of the oldest Italian restaurants in the Gaslamp area. The good news is our server Eric did agree with ... read more
The food was tasty but we both received it cold to room temperature. We also never received bread. The server was a nice guy but never asked if we were good or checked on us. I would not eat here again.
Food was awful. Expensive for what it was. And service slow. Absolute tourist trap
The food was great but the outside ambience was not. Some loud live-music bars were nearby. Loud music from passing cars was distracting. The hostess seemed inexperienced as she pointed to our table, and didn't lead us there. Our waitress was very professional.
The food is really not very good. I ordered the squid ink pasta with crab - it reminded me of cat food. Everything else was ho-hum at best. Our server forgot one of our dishes and I had to ask him multiple times to bring us one of the outdoor heaters. Also they ran out of propane so people who sat down outside after us just had to deal with the cold. This is just a tourist trap type of place. If you’re looking for Italian, you’re better off making the short trek to little Italy.
