We called around to a few boarding spots before we chose Overland and I sure am happy with our decision! First of all, we have a hedgehog. Yes, a hedgehog. Hes adorable but prickly yet the ladies that watched him were not afraid to hold, play and just spoil the little guy! They even took photos of his playtime! AND... Overland is such a great place for my dog to stay while I am away! I have never kenneled my dog before, so I was a little nervous about how she would do. The entire staff understood my nervousness and reassured me that they would make her comfortable during her stay, which made me feel good because they did! What a great place for pet boarding. Our two dogs just finished their first stay there, for 5 days. The staff were all very friendly and genuinely interested in insuring our pets were as comfortable and well cared for. All of the kennels, outdoor, and common areas were exceptionally clean. We got a detailed report of their activities and behavior during their stay. It is such a relief to be able to leave our dogs at a first class facility with an amazing staff.
The office is clean, welcoming and bright. I appreciated the friendly staff, from the front desk to the vet tech to the veterinarian. They offer an assortment of hot beverages and water in the front office. I felt comfortable with the vet tech, Jenna, and veterinarian, Dr. Stacy McVicker, who asked questions, presented information, and cared for my cat in a genuine manner. Listened when I told them about my cats habits and what we had already tried with them. They were also able to recommend some things I hadn't tried and were up on the latest research. The staff was all very friendly and I expect to use them in the future. Update: Still using them. They do everything they can to save you money and take care of your pets. It's awesome.
These vets use non-adjuvanted vaccines (at least with felines), which I appreciate since there is a correlation between the adjuvanted vaccines and sarcoma. I brought my two new kitties here for their 12 week check up, and since I adopted them from a rescue, the exam fee was free!! I didn't expect that, but my checking account surely appreciates it! We have used Overland for our vet services as well as doggie daycare and vacation boarding for five years now. I cannot say enough about how great this place is. The two veterinarians are some of the best in the business. Dr. McVicker is a verifiable cat whisperer, and Dr. Friedlander is so knowledgeable and kind. I took my dog here in an emergency to get his teeth cleaned and extracted. He was miserable and smelled so bad. They took him in the same day and got going with his antibiotics and pain meds. Within the same week he had gotten his teeth cleaned and pulled, after 3 weeks, he is the happiest weiner dog, he's acting like a puppy again!!! He is runing, barking, playing and trying to chew and eat again! He is happy, so, I am happy. Thank You So Much Overland! They will definitely be my vet for my boys!
After just moving to Denver and not having a vet for Pauly, Overland came through with amazing service. Pauly had deep lacerations on his side from what I think was from chicken wire over our fence and needed stitching. I passed the idea of getting him immediate care after the accident and decided to wait till morning to get him help, as it was not bleeding badly and I through a T-Shirt over him which helped.
