My first time here I waited outside for two hours for them to call my one black cat in to check her ears and then another hour to get her back, meanwhile I see people bringing their pets and getting them back within 30 minutes. I called several times from the parking lot to no avail. It didn't seem like they had it together at all. It was the most frustrating experience ever and super traumatizing for my cat. not to mention the problem with her ears was not even resolved. Then I called to make another appointment but couldn'... read more
I rescued a cat who had bad manage about 2-3 years ago . I was recommended by a Facebook group to give it to Joyce and Joyce said to take to her vet to overland . I know the cat was throwing up and had bad mange but I think he could have made it . Instead of the doctor treating his mange and putting him on a liquid diet or a soft food diet the doctor euthanized him!!! He euthanized Alex . If I would have known that's what this doctor (I believe doctor Schwartz) would have done, I would have never brought it here . I think I ... read more

I've been coming here for years, at least 8 years. This evening I check Yelp for the business hours and it says the clinic closes at 7pm. I pull into the parking lot around 5:53pm and by the time I grab my wallet and get out of my car the clinic must have started closing because by the time I touched the door it was locked and I was ignored. It was only 5:58pm so I assume that the clinic closes at 6pm or 5:55pm which is lame because if the clinic now closes at 6pm - update the Yelp page. It can't be that difficult or time co... read more

I have been dreading leaving this review. In fact, I have tried to get in contact with Dr. Schwartz to discuss the matter with him directly, but after being told he would call me on Friday and hearing nothing from him all day, I feel this is the only way to get my frustration across properly. I started coming to Overland Vet back in September as I moved from NY to CA with my dog. The first couple of appointments to get a Bordetella booster and deal with an ear infection were fine. They were late, but even pre-Covid my ve... read more

They're always late - it's not a COVID thing, it's their thing. The shortest wait time I've had is 20 minutes but it's normally 45 and, at times, an hour. Was there today waiting for 30 minutes and ended up leaving - they called 10 minutes after. Aside from consistently running late, Dr. Forsyth will GAUGE you while running the same guilt trip from patient to patient. If you love your pet - you'll give him your money. Most recently, I brought my dog in who had an abscess on her paw. There was a very clear opening to her... read more
We got a new puppy and the doctors seem very short and do not even explain what shots are being administered on any given day or give a suggestion on when the next vaccines should be given. We shouldn't have to ask "when should she come back for the next round of shots?" As the veterinarian should care about scheduling and getting puppies vaccinated. I understand covid is hard but at least you could take the time to explain more than "she is doing great" on the phone. I think they could be much less short with people in the ... read more
Update. 15 days after I posted this I got a laughable response from customer service that in no way addressed anything I wrote nor did I hear back from them. Read the most recent reviews! A lot of them are from long standing customers that say things have really gone downhill. I wouldn't trust the overall star rating. I took my 8 month kitten to Overland at the recommendation of a friend. For my first appointment I was told that even though my cat was an indoor cat, who had never gone outside, she should still be tested fo... read more

Hi Rae, we are sorry to hear you were not satisfied with your pet's visit. We aim to provide the highest quality of care to your furry friend and are saddened that you felt otherwise. We do not want anyone to feel that way.
This place is awful. I used to come here years ago and got a new pup during COVID and it has been a mess. I don't know if it's because of COVID which I get businesses have been impacted, but it takes FOREVER to get through to someone and they said use the text process and that also takes forever to get a response. Good luck trying to get an appointment. I had to come here monthly to get medication for my dog and it honestly wasn't even worth it and bought a 6 month doses just so I wouldn't have to come here anymore and wait ... read more

Unfortunately, we are unable to identify you as a client based on the account name this review is posted from though, so we kindly ask that you give us a call at your convenience and ask for the Hospital Manager.
This place is a mess. We adopted a dog 3 months ago and every phone call and visit has been frustrating. Simple procedures such as picking up medicine or getting test results have felt like jumping through hoops. You make an appointment but still find yourself waiting in the parking lot for 30-60 minutes after checking in. It may be that covid protocols have overwhelmed them, but their operations management needs a complete overhaul.
Business response:
Michael, we truly value our client feedback and appreciate you sharing your experience. We do sincerely apologize for the long wait times as we do have new COVID policies we have to abide by in order to keep our staff, patience and clients all safe. We do our best to see each client in a timely manner and are sorry this was not the case, nor is it the norm for us. We would be happy to discuss your concerns further, should you like to give us a call.
