Have been relatively happy with this vet for the last ~6 years, and while service went down in the pandemic, I had grace for a business that seemed to be struggling, and assumed service would improve to pre-pandemic levels. That said, it's 2023, and the service has gotten worse. Yelp seems to indicate they've been bought out (I came here to search reviews on this after hearing a podcast about the influx of private equity, and declining competition and service, in vet practices: https://freakonomics.com/podcast/do-you-know-wh... read more
Overland Veterinary clinic has been bought out by a corporation and Dr Schwartz screwed over his long term clinic for money. They no longer take walk-ins for minor Health emergencies, (hot spots, eye infections etc). They push pet owners to overpriced emergency hospitals with crazy long wait. This is a new change. We were always able to get our pets in if we had an illness prior to the pandemic. This place has become a money machine with terrible service and max cost. We have trusted this business for almost 20 years with ... read more
What a joke. The customer service person here is a joke. Youve been saying sorry for over a year but nothing has changed. Talk is cheap! Lol. Customer service on here says that their number one goal is to provide exceptional service. Ha! Nothing has changed. If you read all the reviews, you'll see that they haven't corrected the major problem with the worst front desk!! What's the point of customer service saying sorry, blah blah blah if YOU DONT CORRECT THE PROBLEM?!? They haven't "fixed" the major problem of the RUDES... read more
Dr. Schwartz, who is no longer with the clinic, was FABULOUS. Today, the service is meh and the calm environment replaced by one of high stress that was anxietal for me. You walk into a room filled with people and animals and a sign that lets you know the place is understaffed. They ask for your patience, but they TAKE YOUR TIME without batting an eyelash. I had to wait over 45 minutes to see Dr. Cano for MAYBE 15 minutes. Had the clinic let me know they were running that far behind, I would have come later. Yet they nonethe... read more
They use to be amazing. These days all you hear is we don't have time for another 2 months. My cat had an accident. They sent me to hospital and next to urgent care. And both places told me .you need to contact your primary vet. Called overland. There answer was we don't have time. Call around see who can take him. When the poor thing is suffering trom ear pain. What's point of having primary vet. When you actually need them . They tell you go look for someone else to see your pet.
Deterioration of customer service and taken over by money hungry doctors. I've been a customer for over 6 years. My senior dog has ailments that aren't treatable. She is prone to infection and with Dr. Schwartz we went down a rabbit hole costing thousands of dollars to come to the conclusion that she would need cosmetic surgery to correct the root cause. The doctor understood that elective surgery was not an option and would cost me thousands more. So he noted the account that when I saw signs (clear, non-subjective si... read more
As of Sep 2022, I can no longer recommend Overland Veterinary Clinic. I have been taking our dog here for 6+ years. Back on March 25, 2022, I received an email from Dr. Schwartz that he is retiring and sold the business. I didn't give too much thought. Then I took my dog in for his annual checkup and refill for his auto-immune disease. The first strange sign is the other than one doctor, all the previous doctors left the clinic. I was able to schedule an appointment two weeks out on their website. Then, two days before the... read more
This review is primarily for the receptionist table, but while I'm at it I will comment on how the euthanasia of my dog left me feeling. Receptionist: Damn, girl, you really DON'T need to be SO RUDE. So, I guess the girl on the line was having a hard time hearing me, and instead of telling me politely to please speak more loudly or maybe having me call back on another line, she was (in the coldest, nastiest way possible) barking at me to speak up. When she was satisfied or whatever with my speaking volume, she asked what... read more
I've been a customer here for 20 years and always went to Dr Schwartz. I took my cat to see Dr Lee today and thought he was good. But then they told me the bill. $625 for a quick office visit, a blood sugar test, urinalysis and an antibiotic? Woah! I knew their prices had gone up but that's shocking. Update: I spoke with Dr Lee and he apologized for the misunderstanding and agreed in the future we'll discuss whatever tests he is recommending and what the cost is before deciding on a course of action.
