Mr Juan Cruz explained the process at the beginning and it worked out as he said it would. Ms Masuda and others answered my phone calls whenever I was confused and quickly reassured me that things were going as planned. Thank y’all for getting it done!

The rate of 2.75% was the best available. I checked with other sources. Communication with Penny Mac was not that great. I still have some questions and left a phone number to get the questions anaswered

The overall process was explained very clearly. The staff at PennyMac were very knowledgeable about the entire process. My only gripes would be that the online portal for the application asked for documents more than once that we already signed. Then when I called the staff didn't know what I was talking about. It seemed like what they could see in my portal and what I could see were two different things. Which can be confusing. Think it's a system error though, not human error. Staff was great.

The process was smooth and constant communication. It was great having a team working to help us with our refinancing. The process was supposed to take around 30 days but the team was finished within three weeks. We received emails to let us know that certain documents were available for us to sign electronically. Penny Mac sent over a representative to our house to sign the closing paperwork. This was a great experience!

I felt the weekly updates were helpful, however I did expect a brief summary of each stage of the process or review included in the weekly updates. In addition, I was under the impression the refi process turn around time would have been quicker since the refi was with my current lender. Furthermore, it was surprising the employment verification challenge was brought to my attention after the closing packet was signed a week before. Perhaps clear expectations set ahead would’ve helped.
