Prior to working with Ajanay, getting timely responses were challenging. She did a great job. However, there were times prior where I didn’t know the status and we were scheduled for settlement prior to having all documentation completed which postponed settlement 20 minutes prior to the appointment. It was challenging knowing who to contact as the agent changed multiple time without notification. Ajanay did an amazing job once she took over.
I was a PennyMac customer for the 5 previous years on the home I sold. It is very difficult to understand why that was not a consideration in the approval process. The loan closing date was moved from November 11 to December 15. The signing was moved from Dec 8 to Dec 15 due to a last minute request for one more month of bank statement when the previous one was still within the accepted time frame. It was a stressful and long process over all. More difficult than any I had ever experienced.
The people in Pennymac are very professional and courteous. They took care in answering all my questions multiple times without getting frustrated. It was great experience working with them.
Communication was good and everything went smooth.
So Kelly Lange was PennyMac’s only saving grace. A refinance on a mortgage that PennyMac already had shouldn’t have taken 4 months. If it was going to take 4 months, then that should have been communicated up front. PennyMac’s underwriters were a disappointment especially with regard to how many times they requested documents that were already in the file but which they didn’t take the time to locate; and instead, just send out requests for what was already there, further slowing the process. I locked my rate with PennyMac on 7-2-2020. I supplied every document to PennyMac that was requested of me right away. I signed loan docs on 12-2-2020. I got an e-mail from Raveena that the loan was funded on 12-14-2020. On 12-19-2020 I was informed by my old mortgage lender that they never received the payoff from PennyMac. This process took over 5 months - I have never seen a re-fi take more than 3 or 4 weeks. I am way past upset. On 12-19-2020 I made a loan payment to my old lender.
Calling from unknown numbers is not professional, deferring to other agents is frustrating, discrepancy between what is being said and document is beyond upsetting, blaming the customer on hanging up the phone after providing an explanation that my phone setting reject Unkown callers made me feel a touch with a client was not desired! My credit score was ran twice without a clear justification 60 days apart —- I am looking to complain to higher setting! Very frustrating
