It was such an easy and pleasant experience when we refinanced through PennyMac. The loan officers were very prompt and helpful in their work, and Maxwell Mitchell was on point when it came to guiding us through the rest of the loan application process. We are very happy with our refinance results! Thank you PennyMac team!!!

Missed our closing date by more than a month. Cannot count how many times I was told "Yes, we have all your documents. No we don't need anything else from you." only to be told a few days later that actually, we need this and this and that. "I need to check with the title company" and "I need to check with our team" were regularly the only answers I received. I chose PennyMac because my mortgage was already with you guys and I thought it would be easy to refinance. That was a bad assumption.
We have dealt with Pennymac before and have always had a great experience. I still love Pennymac and would refer friends to use them, I just think this time around the customer service was poor. The wait for closing was really long and trying. The back and forth was annoying. We also were told after waiting over 3mos that we were denied, which made no sense. After the confusion settled they were ready to close leaving us scratching our heads on why this even happened. Bad timing I guess.

the only negative thing in this process was not the fault of anyone at PennyMac, just Covid-19 slow down, I Guess this going to be around for a while, God forbid. Thanks for all the help.
