The original loan officer (Dominic Ciffarelli) set false expectations and advised me that he had pre-approved me through underwriting. He in fact did not and almost caused the closing to fail. Norma and her manager Jack did a great job getting things properly handled so that the closing went through. I am fairly certain Dominic committed a UDAAP violation. In my opinion Dominic needs retraining.
It is almost impossible to get a hold of a person at this company. My closing was delayed, my appraisal was low and had inaccurate information, which would have taken 2-3 weeks to correct, so I had to close. My taxes are incorrect on my escrow-way over what is needed, which is making me pay more each month. Use another company!
The whole process took a little longer than expected, but given the current situation with COVID19, etc., it's understandable. Everyone I worked with at Pennymac was great :-)
Ms. Fernandez made the process easy from beginning to end. She was kind, prompt in responses and even went out of her way to get the answers needed when she didn’t have them herself. She’s a gem. Absolute pleasure working with her.
Beth provided clear communication regarding the refinance process and answered all questions promptly and accurately.
The process was very smooth, but since it was a refi from PennyMac to PennyMac, I had expectations that the refi team would understand the servicing side and would have alerted us to stop the auto-draft for our bi-weekly payments after the closing so money wouldn't have been taken out of our account that we will now have to wait for 20 days to get back. That was a little disappointing. Other than that, the process was smooth and all folks we spoke with were very professional and pleasant.
Loan Process was completed promptly (Title search took longer than expected). All members of the team were knowledgeable, and very helpful, and patient.
