The agents involved with my loan were above average. My overall dissatisfaction was the time of the whole refinance. I had refinanced another home in another state starting 3 days before this one. I was done over a month before this loan closed. Both loans were Fannie Mae, other that different states, I saw no reason for this to be so lengthy. I've refinanced many times in the past and I think this is the longest refi I've ever gone through. Too many departments to clear.
Consistent communication about progress of the loan was very much appreciated.
Mrs. Sanchez was great. She was very helpful throughout this process, if anyone decides to go with pennymac I would highly recommend her.
From application to closing, everything went smooth. All my interactions with the PennyMac people were friendly, professional and responsive. Macy Brown is a jewel. Upfront communication, always answer my phone calls and emails, everything I was told was true. We are glad we chose PennyMac.
I repeatedly had to send same documents in 2 or 3 times. The automated emails were behind so they would say i needed to send documents which i already did. 2 months to close was terrible. And being unable to talk to lauren when i needed to about the documents was terribly frustrating. 1 way communication. But lauren was accomidating when i had to change closing location. I believe lauren did a good job, considering how messed up pennymacs process is.
The entire process was explained fully and my questions were answered promptly. I had Pennymac for my initial mortgage and refinanced through them to get a better rate. Molly and Scott made the experience smooth and overall I was pleased and would use Pennymac for other financing needs in the future.
Closing docs were not accurate. Our mobile notary was 2.5 hours late.
