Be more vigilant about the title company’s actions or the absence. The title company cancelled 2 times the appointment and never communicated to us about the cancellations, they left us waiting with no notification.

Initially, it took a LONG time for someone to respond to my expression of interest to re-finance with Penny Mac. I requested a call, would get a call from a tele-rep who would then ask me to wait to be transferred to a Georgia licensed mortgage broker/agent. Three times I waited a long time (> 15 minutes) with no one picking up the call. Finally, months later, I got a call.

My estimated closing date was to be August 31st and we didn’t close until October! Definitely was a stressful process waiting and not always knowing what was going on!
