I have had several mortgages over the last 40 years and PennyMac - by far - is the worst. I’ve never been late with a mortgage payment - NEVER! They insist I have a late charge of $49 from a lender they purchased my loan from. It’s untrue, but when asked to show proof, PennyMac says I have to show that I DON’T OWE THEM $49! To get my records costs more than $49! They can’t even tell me what month the charge relates to. Next stop - consumer protection agencies. Never borrow from PennyMac.
