We have four loans with PennyMac. We thought because of that, we would have a smoother and quicker process. It was not. We are disappointed with our last two transactions with PennyMac. It might be due to COVID issues, but we probably won't go back to PennyMac next time unless we have better service. Once Lara Leighton got involved, she helped to expedite and straighten out issues. Without her assistance, it would have been a terrible process. Sorry, but that's the truth.

Refinancing my house was easier than I thought and the savings both monthly and over time with the lower interest rate was worth the effort.

Better communication. I never received any response to the emails sent by me to my Mac team. Neither could I talk to anyone easily as most of the time my calls went to voicemail and didn't receive a call back even after leaving a voicemail. Not sure who if my loan processing agent even received my emails or they just got lost to the common my Mac email. Having dedicated email IDs for loan processing agents would be great instead of the common my Mac email id
