I was told closing was going to be at 9am. It didn’t happen. I had to drive the urgency and process to ensure it then closed at 7:30 pm that day. Poor communication throughout closing day. Not able to get ahold of needed people at PennyMac, docs incorrect.

Overall, our experience was good. When we did get to talk to someone, every person we spoke to was helpful and friendly and made sure all our questions were answered. But unless we initiated the communication, we did not receive any updates during the refinancing process. It was supposed to take 30 days or less, but ended up being more than 2 months, and during that time, we were not given any updates for our application explaining why it was being held up. That was a bit frustrating.
