Great experience
My #1 reason in using Penny Mac in the first place was because they carried our current home loan. I thought since they already had our info and credit history the process would be easy. I was wrong. Prompt return phone calls would have helped. The secure portal never worked. we were unable to view or send docs through the portal. Communication was subpar. Loan details were overlooked daily. I'm surprised this loan actually closed on time.
From start to finish, the process was clearly explained, and any documents that they needed were conveyed to us in a timely fashion. We are thrilled with our new interest rate, I’m glad they were able to help.
The loan process from Denny was great. The problem I have was I decided not to do a not cash out refinance and miss two payments. That would give me what I needed to do some renovations I wanted to do. I was told up front it wouldn't be a problem to miss two payments. So that's the direction I decided to go. However, that wasn't the case and I feel I was mislead and didn't get to accomplish what I needed to do.
