Communication within PennyMac is lacking and portal system never seems to send the documents to the right person. We started the process 45 days prior to closing and only was able to close on time when we escalated the communication issues to upper management.

Communication, Communication, Communication. Definitely, I expect to have answers of my questions asked via email, or voice message several times. Unfortunately, no answers were available until the day of closing or transferring the fund. This was worst possible experience.

The representatives I spoke with were great about returning emails and phone calls. The process was made easy by their attention. There were some peculiar scenarios that applied to my loan process, and they were able to get answers for me right away. The only stumbling blocks were some of the documents needed to be sent multiple times, and I felt that going into my closing, there was my loan might not be approved. Overall, I am satisfied, but felt that the level of stress was significant.

Communicate with the client. Your loan people need to get training on CSR. HORRIBLE SERVICE FROM JASON STAPLES, BRANDON GLENN AND FAISLE AHMAD.. STILL WAITING FOR ANDREW'S RESPONCE!!!

My contact person barely communicated with me and then was changed unexpectedly the week prior to closing. The new contact sent 1 email and did not respond to follow up emails. I had to ask the title company what my cash to close would be after multiple phone calls where I was disconnected /left a message with no response. I did not receive an answer until 4 hours prior to the closing which is incredibly stressful. Communication is key in this process and pennymac failed miserably.
