Initially, I wanted to speak with a person at PennyMac, but was forced to apply for the refinance loan online. I am a computer dummy, so I had problems with the online process, became frustrated, and called other loan companies so I could speak with people about refinancing my house. Just as I was about to select another loan company, PennyMac called me and very patiently walked me through the loan process. I cannot thank PennyMac's staff for their patience and skills at explaining each step.

1 - acknowledge and respond to emails; also, respond in a more timely manner. There were several instances where w sent requests and received 0 response. 2 - we requested more than 1x that my wife be the main point of contact, however, Chris received all notifications by cell phone. 3 - we answered the same VA question several times and received emails/calls that indicated our loan may be delayed if we didn't respond. We responded timely each time with 0 response.

There was very little communication. It was very hard for me to get any status except by constantly calling. Most of my emails requesting status were not responded to. One payoff statement had been loaded since April, yet I was told this document was outstanding. I had to call the title company and get a copy and send it in. Even after I did this, it was still not loaded and this request was left as outstanding. Even the title company was wondering why I was doing the calling and not you.
